This entry gets a discontinuity tag because Peter was already in his aunt and uncle's custody when his parents were killed (they had left him with May and Ben before they left). So the notion that Peter was picked up at a hospital/government facility after they heard the news does not align with established canon.

This scene suggests that although Peter's parents disappeared, they did have the funeral until years later because they could not "accept that they were dead." The implication is that Richard and Mary Parker were treated as missing persons for some time. This, however, does not agree with other depictions of their death.

[Pgs. 1 - 3] Young Peter asks May about fear and Aunt May gives him a heartfelt answer. Aunt May then clutches her chest in pain, and Uncle Ben reminds her to take her heart medicine.

[Pg. 12 panel 3 - Pg. 15 panel 1] While visiting his Uncle Ben's grave, Peter shares a conversation (in his head) with his deceased uncle. They share a memory of Peter's first grade play, in which he had the role of the 'third ant' in the play entitled "Soldier Ants and Ladybugs." Peter recalls that despite being super excited for the performance, when the curtain was raised, he froze, completely forgetting his line. Their 'discussion' ends with Ben reminding Peter that he would have become someone like Spider-Man with or without his powers and he cites Peter's motivation coming not just from the loss of Uncle Ben but also his parents. *Note As touching as this scene is, it has massive discontinuity flags. First and foremost the idea of Peter's parents still alive while he was in first grade conflicts with virtually every other entry around his early years. The consensus is that Richard and Mary died when he was still an infant. Also, Uncle Ben suggests that May and Mary are sisters, which is not the case. Ben and Richard are brothers, which is how Peter is connected to Uncle Ben and Aunt May.

[Pg. 3] As Peter is raking leaves, he tells Aunt May and Uncle Ben that he doesn't think about his parents that much anymore. He just wants to make his aunt and uncle proud.

[Pg. 4 panel 1] MJ sees Peter for the first time while he's raking leaves. She says he was 14 and she was 13 years old.

[Pg. 5 panel 6] MJ sees Peter for the first time; she says he was around 13 years old and just about to start high school.

Peter, Aunt May and Uncle Ben all meet Norman Osborn for the first time.

[Pg. 11 panels 1 - 4] As Peter gets older, he continues to play pranks with Uncle Ben.

[Pg. 12 panels 1 - 2] Peter recalls his 10th grade science teacher, in this case Miss Daphne Smith aka Boomer, he describes her as a wonderful teacher.

[Pg. 5 panel 5] Peter reflects on a memory of he, Uncle Ben and Aunt May at a museum together.

[Pg. 7 panel 2 - End of page 8] Carl King bullies Peter in high school, forcing Peter to complete his science school work for him.

[Pg. 2 panel 4] Flash Thompson bullies Peter, pinning him to the ground while other students cheer him on.

[Pg. 1 panel 4] A shy Peter Parker is not part of the in-crowd in high school.

[Pg. 5 panel 2] In high school, Peter Parker is seen getting bullied by fellow students while some young ladies watch. This occurs before Peter got his spider powers, but whilst still in high school.

[Pgs. 4 - 6] Fed up with Flash Thompson's constant taunts and bullying, Peter decides to get revenge. In his science lab, he makes a formula that he gives to Flash, telling him it's a performance-improving energy drink. Flash downs it. Soon after, on the football field, Flash turns blue! All the students laugh at him but what's worse is that he's kicked off the team for a game (the 'big game' in fact) because the coaches thought he was using performance-enhancing drugs. Peter's plan worked too well and he regretted going from being bullied to being the bully. Peter shares this story of regret to young boy who is being bullied, warning him that exacting revenge is not the right path. Learning to deal with your bully, and being proud of who you are is the right path.

[Pgs. 5 - 6] Charlie Weiderman joins Peter's class and is immediately picked on by the other students. Peter avoids Charlie, fearing that he will be considered as geeky as Charlie is if they're friends.

[Pgs. 11 - 15] Peter joins the rest of the class picking on Charlie, he targets him multiple times during a volleyball game in gym class. Peter states that this took place 'just months' before being bitten by the spider. Peter apologizes to Charlie, they bond over science. Charlie tells Peter that he's working on his own super-strength serum. Charlie ends up in the hospital because he took his own experimental strength drug.

[Pgs. 7 - 12] Charlie confides in Peter about how terrible the bullying has been. Bullies arrive to beat up Charlie, when Charlie attempts to pull out a knife, Peter knocks it from his hands. When a coach sees the knife, Peter claims it's his knife and is taken to the vice principal's office. Uncle Ben picks Peter up from the school, Peter tells him the whole story and Uncle Ben tells Peter he's proud of him.

[Pgs. 17 - 21] Charlie comes to Peter's house in a panic, as bullies are about to beat him up for slashing their tires. Uncle Ben protects Charlie but forbids Peter from spending time with him, since he doesn't trust Charlie.

[Pgs. 19 - 21] Charlie and his family move out of town, he and Peter leave on a good note, hoping to see each other again someday.

[Pg. 5 panels 5 - 6] Peter escapes into science to avoid the taunts of bullies.

[Pg. 13 panel 4 - Pg. 14 panel 1] Whilst being bullied, Peter is saved by C.J. Vogel who tells jokes to them in order to distract them. His jokes were so funny they forgot they were beating on Peter.

[Pgs. 6 - 8] Continued bullying by Flash keeps Peter miserable, until Uncle Ben gets Peter a car!

[Pg. 2 panels 1 - 3] Peter wakes up in the morning, has breakfast, heads to school. At school, his science teacher praises his work ethic and scientific acumen.

[Pg. 2 panel 6] Schoolmates don't invite Peter to a party, instead they make fun of him.

[Pg. 1] Peter's fellow schoolmates need one more person for a dance, but they decide not to ask Peter.

[Pg. 2] As Peter is ridiculed by the other students, a young girl named Jessica Cambell admires him from afar. She has a crush on Peter Parker.

[Pg. 2 panels 4 - 5] Peter first asks Sally Avril if she would like to attend the science exhibit that evening, she turns him down, as Flash walks by and gives Peter a shove and calls him a bookworm.

[Pg. 2 panels 7 - 8] After Flash pushes Peter out of the way (and on to the ground), Peter asks Liz specifically if she would like to go with him to the science exhibit. *Note there is potential for discontinuity here, in this case, Peter's attention is toward Liz Allan. In AFSY 15, it's Sally Avril. It's entirely possible that Peter asked both girls, both of whom were more interested in Flash Thompson and both cases Flash bullied Peter out of the picture. It's worth including both scenes to be as comprehensive as possible with this chronology, also, in AFSY 15 2:6, Liz is amongst the crowd that Peter is attempting to invite to the science exhibit.

[Pg. 2 panels 6 - 7] Peter asks his schoolmates if they'd like to attend a science exhibit, they turn him down and make fun of him as they begin to drive away.

[Pg. 3 panels 1 - 4] As the students drives off, Jessica continues to gaze at Peter in admiration.

[Pg. 3 panels 4 - 10] As the students drive further off into the distance, a saddened Peter Parker clenches his fist saying one day he'll show them!

[Pg. 2 panel 8] Peter makes his way to the science exhibit on radioactivity.

[Pg. 3 panels 5 - 7] As Peter makes his way to the science exhibit, Jessica decides to follow him in order to ask him out on a date.

Other depictions show him dropping the books once he is bitten.

[Pg. 12 panel 4] The spider lands on Peter's hand, causing him to let go of his books. The spider is just about to bite his hand.

[Pg. 3 panel 4] Peter is bitten by the spider.

[Pg. 4 panels 3 - 5] Jessica approaches Peter, just as he is bitten by the radioactive spider, he exclaims, "Ow!"

[Pg. 2 panel 7] Peter smashes the spider on his hand, killing it in the process.

[Pg. 3 panel 5] Peter looks at the burning, glowing spider on his hand.

[Pg. 17 panel 7] The bully, Carl King, sees that Peter is bitten by the irradiated spider.

[Pg. 4 panels 6 - 7] Peter brushes the spider off his hand, and squishes it on the floor with his foot.

[Pg. 1 panel 5 - Pg. 2 panel 4] Peter's attempt to kill the spider failed (he either missed it or it was not killed when he stepped on it). Nevertheless, the spider escapes and makes its way into the crowd of attendees at the Demonstration on Radioactivity.

[Pg. 3 panel 6] Peter begins feeling light-headed from the spider bite.

[Pg. 2 panels 5 - 6] As Peter's walks off feeling light-headed, the spider makes its way toward the foot of Cindy Moon, one of the spectators at the demonstration. The spider then bites Cindy's foot, bestowing the spider-powers Peter had received to her as well.

[Pg. 4 panel 8] As the scientists continue to ridicule the now light-headed and nauseous Parker, Jessica decides not to reach out to him as she lowers her head as she lowers her head and walks away.

[Pg. 6 panels 2 - 3] As Peter leaves the exhibit hall, Liz and Flash can see that he doesn't feel well. Liz thinks he should go to the hospital and Flash ridicules him.

[Pg. 3 panels 1 - 5] As Peter continues down the street he bumps into a man who starts a fight with him. After the man swings at him, Peter swings back. Peter misses, but hits a lamp post and nearly breaks it in half.

[Pg. 3 panel 7] As Peter wanders off the sidewalk and into the street, he wonders to himself, "Do I have a sign that says kick me on my back?" Meanwhile a care is headed toward him.

[Pg. 3 panel 7 - Pg. 4 panel 1] Wrapped in his thoughts after what had just transpired, Peter doesn't see a car coming directly at him; he jumps high and sticks to a building. He then begins to crawl up the building.

[Pg. 4 panel 2] Peter realizes that he's crawling up the wall like a spider!

[Pg. 19 panel 1] The bully, Carl King, sees Peter climbing up the wall like a spider.

[Pg. 4 panels 2 - 4] A young boy sees Peter climbing up the wall, his mother dismisses him. Peter realizes his incredible strength as well and he attributes everything to the spider bite.

[Pg. 7 panel 6] Peter does somersaults along the rooftop after realizing the powers he's received.

[Pg. 4 panel 5] Peter realizes he can scale down a cable like a spider on a web.

[Pg. 4 panel 5] As Peter continues down the cable he says to himself he knows he must think about what he must do with these new powers.

[Pg. 5 panel 5] The young boy who saw him climb the wall also sees Peter leap down from the building.

[Pg. 4 panel 6] Peter decides he must come up with a plan on how to use his new powers.

[Pg. 6 panel 7 - Pg. 7 panel 1] When Peter returns home, Aunt May sends Peter out on an errand. While out, he sees a large crowd gathering for a wrestling match.

[Pg. 4 panels 7 - 8] Peter sees an ad for a wrestling match with Crusher Hogan; he races home and fashions a home-made costume disguising his identity.

[Pg. 5 panel 1] Peter enters the gym where Crusher Hogan's competition is being held. In this panel the name of the gym is shown, Cagle's Gym.

[Pg. 5 panel 1] Peter approaches the wrestling ring and calls out to Crusher Hogan, challenging him for the $100 reward.

[Pg. 5 panels 2 - 4] Peter and Crusher Hogan square off, Hogan tries to verbally intimidate him. Peter uses his strength and speed to out-maneuver Crusher Hogan.

[Pg. 12] Peter continues to embarrass Crusher Hogan in the ring.

[Pg. 5 panel 5] Peter carries Crusher Hogan high above the ring causing the massive wrestler to shout in fear, "Put me down! You win! You win!"

[Pg. 2 panels 7 - 9] As Peter is holding Crusher high above the ring, Clayton Cole continues to record the events on his cell phone.

[Pg. 5 panel 6] After being tossed around like a rag-doll, Crusher Hogan is in disbelief of Peter's strength.

[Pg. 5 panels 8 - 9] After Crushes claims, "...nobody can do that!" Peter says, "...just call me nobody." The crowd cheers as Maxie Shiffman observes a potential new client.

[Pg. 5 panel 7] With the crowd continuing to laud the masked marvel, Maxie concludes that this is the client he needs.

[Pg. 13 panel 1] Peter collects his money from a man named Monty Caabash. Monty runs the E.W.O. (Extreme Wrestling Organization).

[Pg. 6 panel 1] Peter is offered a card from a TV producer; says that Peter can make a fortune in showbiz.

[Pg. 3 panel 1] While Maxie Shiffman hands Peter the reward money (and his business card), Clayton snaps another photo using his cell phone. Clayton has become a fan of Peter after his match with Crusher Hogan.

[Pg. 2 panel 6] Peter accepts the offer from the TV producer, in this story his name is Max Shiffman.

[Pg. 8 panels 4 - 5] Peter changes back to his civilian identity, excited about his new opportunity in showbiz.

[Pg. 4 panels 5 - 6] Peter attempts to make webbing at his make-shift lab at home.

[Pg. 10 - Page 11 panel 3] Peter uses his spider-skills to evade Flash in the halls of Midtown High.

[Pgs. 14 - 22] Peter goes to Liz's house in his car, sees Flash and the two have a drag race. During their race, Peter crashes his car, totaling it in the process.

[Pg. 9 panels 1 - 3] In his bedroom, Peter makes the first sketches of the design that would end up being his classic costume. *Note This flashback sequence takes place during "The Other" storyline in which Peter is undergoing a transformation. The flashback itself is being narrated by the spider-demon known as the Great Weaver. It is important to note that this could be considered a delusion and not an actual event which transpired in the past. It is being included in the chronology for completeness sake.

[Pgs. 1 - 17] Peter becomes the featured wrestler in the EWO. He also meets Tiffany Lebeck who is associated with the league. During a conversation with Monty Caabash, he decides on the name Spider-Man. During these early wrestling bouts, he wears a handful of variations of his Spider-costume and becomes a wrestling star. Tiffany urges Peter to push the limits of his Spider-powers, even convinces him to carry her to the top of a skyscraper. Tiffany encourages Spider-Man to 'amaze' the crowd, Peter then leaves her behind and goes to work on the development of his web shooters and web formula.

[Pg. 8 panel 6 - Pg. 9 panel 1] Peter had attained permission from the principal of Midtown High to use the chemistry lab after hours. Peter then perfects his web formula at the school's lab. *Note This takes place one week after wrestling Crusher Hogan.

[Pg. 18] Peter makes more batches of web fluid then makes his web-shooters at Midtown High.

[Pg. 9 panels 2 - 7] Peter tests his new web-shooters and makes his final costume variant (ie, his classic look) from discarded dance class body suits at the school. He uses silk screening to put the spider-design on the clothes.

[Pg. 6 panels 2 - 4] Peter returns home and continues to practice with his web-shooters.

[Pg. 5 panels 1 - 3] Peter perfects the aim and calibration of his web-shooters.

[Pg. 6 panel 5] Peter debuts his classic costume at his home in Forest Hills. He decides that "Spider-Man" as a name is as "good as any." One could view this scene as Peter re-affirming the name Spider-Man, since he had already told Monty Caabash his name is Spider-Man.

[Pg. 6 panel 5] Whilst perched to the walls of his bedroom, Peter considers Spider-Man to be a better option than Web-Master or Wall-Hopper as a potential name for his costumed identity.

[Pg. 6 panels 6 - 8] Fully garbed as Spider-Man, Peter scoffs at those who made fun of him in the past as he debuts the power and utility of his new web-lines. He prepares to have the world brace for the arrival of "Spider-Man!"

[Pg. 19 - Page 23 panel 4] Peter wrestles the Bronx Mangler in his newest costume; he later returns home and apologizes to Uncle Ben about crashing the car (which he had lied about earlier).

[Pgs. 1 - 5] Spider-Man's wrestling prowess surges as he builds a huge fan base.

[Pgs. 1 - 7] Spidey goes on a date with a random fan-girl. They eat chinese food on the rooftop of a building. All the while, a monster is terrorizing New York, the Fantastic Four are fighting it. Spider-Man has no inclination to help out. J. Jonah begins his crusade against masked heroes as he targets Spider-Man.

As Spider-Man is swinging throughout the city, he saves a man who had fallen out of a window of a high-rise building. The man fell out of the window because he thought he saw a man in a spider suit swing by (he did!). Spidey then gives him tickets to his upcoming TV appearance.

[Pg. 6 panels 1 - 2] Spidey swings through the city, looking for places to use his celebrity status, he targets the nearest TV station. Spidey thinks to himself that he is the answer to Ed Sullivan's prayers.

[Pg. 10 panels 1 - 2] A TV host prepares his audience for the arrival of the one and only Spider-Man!

[Pg. 5] As Spider-Man, Peter swings toward the stage of the Ed Sullivan show and greets the spectators with the phrase, "Face front, true believers!"

[Pgs. 8 - 9] Spidey does his first TV interview, he also performs stunts for the audience.

[Pg. 7 panel 1] Spider-Man leaves audiences in awe whenever he performs, one of the crowd members comments on his tricks being akin to special effects found in movies.

[Pg. 7] Spidey's tricks and stunts continue to wow the audience.

[Pg. 7 panel 4] Amongst the various tricks Spider-Man performs in front of the live audience is picking up a grand piano with one hand. Maxie encourages him to make sure he leaves the crowd wanting more.

[Pg. 12 panels 4 - 6] MJ watches Spider-Man on TV, she's in awe of the web-slinger.

[Pg. 10 panels 4 - 5] Spider-Man exits the stage, and asks the producer how he did.

[Pg. 3 panels 6 - 7] Spidey is mobbed by journalists whilst backstage at the studio, he's flanked by his agent (Max Shiffman).

[Pg. 7] Spider-Man is also mobbed by his adoring fans, and Spidey indulges them by signing autographs. He even signs an autograph for Clayton Cole, one of his fans who would eventually don the costumed identity of Clash.

[Pg. 8 panel 1] Spider-Man shirks off the media.

[Pg. 10 panel 2] Spidey slams the door on the media, says he's glad to be 'rid of those leeches!'

[Pg. 8 panel 2] Spider-Man sees a thief run by him as a police officer is yelling "Stop him!"

[Pg. 10 panel 3] The thief makes it to the elevator, the policeman continues chase; Spider-Man stands there doing nothing to help.

[Pg. 10 panel 4] With the thief in the elevator, Spider-Man sarcastically quips, "I'll take the next one."

[Pg. 8 panels 3 - 6] After the thief escapes in the elevator, the policeman scolds Spider-Man for not helping. Spidey replies "that's your job!" and "I've got things to do!"

[Pg. 4 panels 1 - 3] After exiting the studio, Spider-Man speeds off in a limousine with Max Shiffman. Spidey says he couldn't believe the police wanted him to intervene!

[Pg. 13 panel 8] Peter returns home and changes back into his civilian clothes.

[Pg. 8 panels 7 - 8] Uncle Ben and Aunt May give Peter the microscope he always wanted.

[Pg. 12 panels 4 - 5] While at Midtown High, Peter overhears Flash gushing over Spider-Man.

[Pg. 11 panel 3 - End of page 22] Peter takes Liz Allan on a date to Club Mayhem. Uncle Ben tails him to the club and busts him for attending it. Soon after a giant monster emerges and debris flies everywhere. Peter tries to save Uncle Ben from being hit.

The monster's destruction continues, the Fantastic Four intervene and the Thing helps Peter to save Uncle Ben. Peter begins to realize he should do more with his powers.

[Pg. 9 panel 1] In the days that follow, Spider-Man becomes a TV sensation.

Tiffany encourages Spider-Man to continue to build his 'heroic' label by participating in contrived scenarios to show his heroism; he later saves J. Jonah when thugs try to kill the publisher (JJJ was knocked out so he doesn't realize Spidey did it). Peter apologizes to Uncle Ben for the lying/hiding he'd been doing recently.

[Pg. 18 - Page 20 panel 7] Uncle Ben and Peter attend their last Mets game together, Ben dies 3 days later.

[Pg. 14 panels 3 - 5] Peter and Uncle Ben share a heart to heart conversation on the back porch of their home in Forest Hills.

[Pg. 6 panel 1] In a flashback, Peter recalls the night his Uncle Ben was killed. This panel depicts the Burglar (Dennis Carradine) entering Peter's home through the window.

[Pg. 25 panels 4 - 6] After being abducted by Dennis Carradine (aka the infamous Burglar who killed Uncle Ben), Aunt May recalls the events just moments before Uncle Ben is shot. In this sequence, Carradine tries to use Aunt May to guide him around the house (he's looking for a treasure supposedly buried under their home). When Carradine grabs for Aunt May, Uncle Ben resists. The Burglar then fires a shot directly into Uncle Ben's abdomen.

[Pg. 2 panel 3] This single panel flashback depicts the Burglar just as he pulls the trigger, firing a shot at Uncle Ben. Aunt May watches on in horror.

[Pg. 1 panel 4] One evening a few days later, Uncle Ben is shot by a burglar. This panel shows Uncle Ben being shot by the burglar in his stomach.

[Pg. 1 panel 5] This single panel flashback depicts a slightly different angle of Uncle Ben's shooting.

[Pg. 16 panel 1] This panel depicts Uncle Ben falling from the gunshot as Aunt May looks on in horror. The background of the living room and furniture is visible in this depiction.

[Pg. 19 panel 5] This scene depicts Aunt May looking on in horror as she witnesses Uncle Ben being shot by the burglar.

[Pg. 25 panel 7] After Uncle Ben falls to the floor, he dies soon after in Aunt May's arms. He tells her that he loves her, Aunt May then screams his name in grief.

[Pg. 9 panel 2] Soon after, when Peter is returning from one of his appearances as Spider-Man, he finds police cars outside his house.

[Pg. 13 panel 2] A frightened Peter asks a police officer what has happened at his house.

[Pg. 27 panel 3] Uncle Ben is shown on the ground bleeding on the floor inside their home (presumably dead). This panel from a slightly different angle than the prior entry.

[Pg. 8 panel 5] Peter crouches down next to Uncle Ben's deceased body on the ground.

[Pg. 2 panel 1] Before leaving for Anna Watson's house, Aunt May hugs Peter as he looks at Uncle Ben's deceased body on the ground.

[Pg. 2 panel 6] Ben's body, covered with a white sheet, is wheeled out of his home, in front of Peter.

[Pg. 9 panels 3 - 4] The police officer tells Peter that his uncle was murdered by a burglar and that they now have him trapped at the old ACME warehouse.

[Pg. 17 panels 4 - 5] MJ sees Peter talking to the police officer, meanwhile Aunt May is at Anna Watson's house recovering from the bad news.

[Pg. 9 panel 5] Peter leaves the police officer vowing to catch the criminal who killed his uncle.

[Pg. 13 panels 6 - 7] Peter goes up to his room and begins changing into his Spider-Man costume.

[Pg. 9 panel 6] Peter, half dressed as Spidey, claims to know where the old ACME warehouse is and that the killer could hold off an army in that 'deserted' old place.

[Pg. 13 panel 8] Peter places his mask over his face and is ready to leave his house.

[Pg. 19 panel 2] Spider-Man is perched on his window sill, prepared climb the outside of his house. The bully, Carl King, is watching him from a distance with binoculars.

[Pg. 9 panel 7] Peter climbs out of his bedroom window and begins to scale the side of his house heading toward the ACME warehouse.

[Pg. 18 panels 1 - 3] MJ sees Spider-Man climbing the outside of the Parker household, this is when she realizes that Peter Parker is Spider-Man!

[Pg. 10 panel 3] After seeing Peter as Spider-Man from the window, she quickly turns her head away and hides as he prepares to leave his house. MJ is in complete shock! *Note Peter appears closer to his window at this point than compared to other depictions which have him further up the side of his house at this point (perhaps he went back to grab something?).

[Pg. 19 panels 3 - 4] The bully, Carl King, sees Spider-Man swing away from the Parker household. He also confirms his suspicion that Spider-Man is Peter Parker!

[Pg. 19 panel 1] Spider-Man swings away from the Queens residential neighborhood, on his way to find his Uncle's killer.

[Pg. 10 panels 1 - 2] Spider-Man continues his route to the warehouse, swinging from lamp posts and buildings. He recognizes that the warehouse is just on the other side of town and that he'll be there soon.

[Pg. 2 panel 4] While racing toward the warehouse, Spider-Man is convinced the criminal will not escape him!

[Pg. 5 panel 4] Spider-Man realizes he will be able to reach the warehouse before the cops can.

[Pg. 14 panels 2 - 4] As Spidey approaches the warehouse he laments the loss of Uncle Ben. He comments on how Uncle Ben was like a father to him.

[Pg. 8 panel 4] Spider-Man is just outside the ACME warehouse.

[Pg. 10 panel 3] The police realize the burglar is in the warehouse, but they cannot charge him because he has the high ground and will be able to pick them off "like flies".

[Pg. 14 panel 6] Realizing they're stuck, the police radio the S.W.A.T. team in order to catch the gunman.

[Pg. 5 panel 5] From the outside of the warehouse, Spider-Man peers through a boarded-up window and spots the killer.

[Pg. 8 panel 5] Spider-Man rips the boards from the window as he prepares to enter the warehouse.

[Pg. 10 panel 4] As the killer prepares to hold off the police, Spider-Man sneaks up behind him and tells him "you'll never escape again, murderer!"

[Pg. 5 panel 6] Spider-Man comes crashing in through the window, much to the surprise of the killer!

[Pg. 9 panel 1] The killer calls out, "who's that?" as Spider-Man is perched to the wall. Spidey retorts, "you'll find out soon enough..."

[Pg. 10 panels 5 - 6] Spider-Man continues to taunt the killer, the gunman is in disbelief at what is happening.

[Pg. 10 panel 7 - Pg. 11 panel 1] The killer thinks that he's going crazy and decides to make a run for it. Spider-Man jumps down from the wall to cut off his escape. He now has the killer cornered.

[Pg. 2 panels 3 - 4] The killer tells Spider-Man, "Freak! I'll gun ya down!"

[Pg. 5 panel 7] Left with no escape, the gunman fires a shot at Spider-Man.

[Pg. 9 panel 2] As Spider-Man exclaims, "surprised to see me, murderer?" he fires a web line toward the killer's gun.

[Pg. 11 panel 2] The webbing wraps up the killer's gun, rendering it useless.

[Pg. 2 panel 5] With the gun webbed, Spidey adds, "When hell freezes over!"

[Pg. 2 panel 5] After Spider-Man fires a web-line at the burglar, the criminal becomes convinced that Spider-Man is not human.

[Pg. 5 panel 8] Using the webline, Spider-Man removes the gun from the killer's hand.

[Pg. 9 panel 3] With the gunman disarmed, Spider-Man leaps from the wall toward the killer.

[Pg. 11 panel 3] Spider-Man lands his first punch on the burglar.

[Pg. 9 panel 4] Spider-Man lands his second punch on the burglar, saying, "This is for the man you killed!"

[Pg. 5 panel 9] Spider-Man lands a third punch on the burglar as he exclaims, "You'll never shoot anyone--not ever again!"

[Pg. 6 panel 1] With the burglar in his clutches, Spider-Man wishes to himself that the killer had super-powers, just so he could punish him more.

[Pg. 11 panels 4 - 5] As the burglar's hat falls off, Spider-Man can now see his face. He immediately recognizes it, realizing that he is the same fugitive who he could've stopped earlier at the TV studio. The police see the fugitive being lowered by a web-line.

[Pg. 4 panel 4] Aunt May makes her way to ACME warehouse as well. She sees a pair of white eyes in the shadows where the killer was hiding.

[Pg. 4 panel 6] The white eyes are those of Spider-Man, Aunt May sees the web-slinger as he lowering the killer's body with a web-line down to the police.

[Pg. 4 panel 8] Spider-Man sees Aunt May run off in tears after witnessing the capture of the burglar.

[Pg. 11 panel 6] The police confirm that the fugitive was delivered to them, on a spider's web!

[Pg. 5 panels 2 - 5] Maxie Shiffman drives by the ACME warehouse in his limousine. He sees Spider-Man leaving the warehouse and web-slinging away from the police barricade. He realizes, as do most people, that Spider-Man was the hero behind the capture of the gunman. He decides to call his contacts at the Daily Bugle to play up Spider-Man's heroic angle.

[Pg. 16 panels 4 - 6] The police see Spider-Man web-sling away from the warehouse and recognize him as the same person from the TV appearances. They're confused why he wouldn't want to stick around for the free publicity after he captured the killer. Spider-Man lands atop a nearby building, claiming, "my fault..it's all my fault!"

[Pg. 11 panel 7] With his mask removed, tears fall from Peter's face as he realizes the gravity of the mistake he made letting the burglar escape from the TV studio.

[Pg. 16 panels 7 - 8] Now seated atop the edge of the building, Peter suggests that his actions have essentially made HIM Uncle Ben's killer.

[Pgs. 1 - 2] Spider-Man, now on street level, walks with his head down apologizing to Uncle Ben. He recalls the recent chain of events, and then places his mask back on. He continues down the streets of New York.

[Pg. 11 panel 8] With his mask back on, Spider-Man walks street level. The narrator provides the infamous quote, "With Great Power there must also come--Great Responsibility!"
