001.122
[Pgs. 8 - 30] The next day at school after his uncle's funeral, Liz Allan approaches Peter and tells him she's sorry about the loss. Flash is still a jerk to Peter, but he points out that Maxie Shiffman has taken an ad out in the paper trying to reach Spider-Man (since he doesn't know who Spidey really is). *Note In Amazing Spider-Man Family #3, Peter mentions that says that Flash laid off of him (ie, did not bully him) for two weeks after his uncle's death, this account does not match that statement. When Peter returns home, a salesman is there telling Aunt May that Uncle Ben ordered furniture before he died and that they need to pay for it, or lose the deposit. As Spider-Man, Peter tracks the 'salesperson' only to find that he's part of a larger grifter organization that preys on widows and widowers. Spider-Man breaks into their facility and turns them over to the cops. Maxie Shiffman tries to catch Spider-Man at the crime scene, but he Spidey leaves before Maxie arrives.
001.126
[Pgs. 15 - 21] The next day at school, Peter has the first of many sessions with his guidance counselor, Mr. Flannigan. These sessions were arranged by Principal Davis. That evening, he does another TV appearance (presumably Maxie Shiffman caught up to him at some point since he missed Peter at the crime scene earlier). One of Spidey's stunts with fire gets a little out of hand a giant fireball almost kills the entire studio audience. Spider-Man is able to prevent that with webbing, but TV host is still furious. He refuses to pay Maxie and Spider-Man for the performance.
001.130
At school one day, Peter is approached by a boy named Daniel Shephard. Daniel has the ability to sense people pain and absorb it into himself. He senses Peter's pain over the loss of his uncle and offers to remove that pain from Peter. Peter refuses the request insisting that that pain is that remains of his uncle and that he needs it in order to guide him to make the right decisions in life.
001.134
[Pg. 3 - Page 11 panel 6] Later that evening Peter thinks about abandoning his super hero alter-ego, but then decides that Uncle Ben would probably say that he got these powers for a reason. He concocts a new web-fluid formula that blows up in his face, causing an explosion that Aunt May could hear in the house. Later, Peter decides that he should do some heroic deeds as Spider-Man. So he stops a mugging but things go awry when the victim is more scared of him than the muggers! At the end of the evening Peter feels more miserable than he did before he left his house.
001.138
[Pgs. 13 - 16] Peter continues to struggle to sleep at night and Aunt May consoles him. She tells him not to worry, that even though he may feel weak at times, Uncle Ben taught him how to be strong. And that that strength will emerge when he needs it most.
001.142
[Pg. 11 panel 7 - End of page 22] At school the next day, Flash once again gives Peter a hard time. Liz calls Flash an idiot and then tells Peter that she is sick about what happened to his uncle. Side note: This may seem like a repeat of the from ASFY 16 which appears earlier on this list, but perhaps she's just reiterating her feelings to him. When Peter sees Aunt May struggling with the bills, he offers to get an after school job, but she says he needs to simply focus on his school work. Later that evening he goes out web-slinging as Spider-Man, he's convinced he can make money for the household as a super hero. He pulls some serious heroics off, rescuing people from a burning building but almost breaks down from the stress of doing it. The next morning Aunt May says that she knew he was not at home at all the night before, Peter excuses it by saying that 'there's some things he needed to work through."
001.146
Spider-Man is now in full-fledge hero mode, saving a man who nearly fell to his death at a construction site.  Maxie Shiffman manages to track down Spidey, but he turns down Maxie's offer for more TV appearances.  Spider-Man says he just wants to "live up to his responsibilities."  He eventually comes across another super-powered teen, a girl named Josephine "Joey" Pulaski.  The two bond and have fun together throughout the city.  But Joey gets reckless and starts damaging property and risking innocent people's lives.  Later, its revealed she's working for mobsters and she tries to kill Spider-Man.  He stops her and turns her over to the police.  Meanwhile, a desperate Maxie Shiffman hires a new superhero act... Supercharger!!
001.150
Despite pulling off multiple heroic deeds, Peter Parker still doesn't consider himself a hero, but he is driven by the mistake he made earlier which led to his Uncle Ben's death.  After realizing that Aunt May is going to need help paying bills, Spider-Man pays a visit to Maxie Shiffman.  Maxie gets Spidey booked on a TV show and it comes at the expense of John Jameson, who was the originally scheduled guest.  This makes J. Jonah Jameson mighty angry at the web-slinger.  Spidey and Jonah cross paths in person for the first time, but Maxie tells him to disregard Jonah because he's "nobody you'll ever have to worry about."  Maxie introduces Spider-Man to Supercharger, who's also a guest on the show, but when Supercharger takes the stage he goes full-on villain trying to kill the studio audience.  Spider-Man saves the day, and he tells Maxie that they need to give back the money they made even though the both desperately needed it.  Jonah overhears this conversation and it angers him more to hear Spider-Man talking like he's "some kind of saint."  Jonah's hatred and attacks against Spider-Man officially go into high gear!
001.154
Two weeks after the death of Uncle Ben, Flash resumes his bullying of Peter at school. Peter is tempted to punch him but he holds back. Later that evening as Spider-Man, he thwarts a robbery attempt perpetrated by a young thug named Bobby Grillo. During the ruckus he strikes him with a punch that nearly kills Bobby. Peter starts to realize he needs to control his strength. After witnessing Spider-Man save a crowd of people from a falling crane, Bobby decides to turn his life around. Soon after, Peter stands up to Flash Thompson and a mutual respect emerges. This takes place in their neighborhood, not in school so no one sees it, which may explain why Flash remained a jerk to Peter when in public.

Jonah Jameson's editorials in the Daily Bugle (which suggest Spider-Man is a menace).

[Pg. 6 panels 3 - 4] Maxie Shiffman tells Spidey that all his bookings have been canceled and that he tried to convince J. Jonah not to write those editorials but that JJJ wouldn't listen. Spidey the web-slings away from the Maxie's building.

The shop owner, Mrs. Fong, is so happy to see this 'Spider-Man' arrive at her shop every night. It turns out to be a runaway, who also gets robbed and bullied frequently on the streets. And he does this impersonation to simply feed himself. Spider-Man doesn't bust him, instead he's happy to see the boy eventually take a job in Mrs. Fong's shop.

[Pg. 14 panel 3 - Pg. 15 panel 4] As Peter Parker was walking down the street, lost in his thoughts, he's bullied by Man Mountain Marko. Without thinking, he brushes Marko away using his spider-strength, sending him flying through the air. Peter apologizes sincerely, and says that he wasn't paying attention and was worried about his aunt who was really sick and needed medicine. Taking place at a time when "Aunt May was really sick" suggests that this flashback takes place during one of her earlier hospitalizations. Thus its placed at some point between Amazing Spider-Man #9 and #10.

He sends a message to Pym through his ants suggesting that Spider-Man is going to attack both of them. Giant Man and the Wasp go on the offensive and search for Spider-Man. Once they track down Spider-Man, a ruckus ensues until they both eventually realize that neither party was interested in attacking the other. They then join forces and defeat Egghead. Spider-Man does not leave on great terms with Giant Man and the Wasp, but they're at least closer to allies then enemies.
014.900
Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four battle Electro. This story takes place early in Spider-Man's super hero career, but it is difficult to say exactly when it occurs. He's living with Aunt May in Queens, and it appears to be early in Electro's criminal career.
015.000
[Pgs. 11 - 15] During a battle with the Rhino, Spider-Man recalls an occasion when Captain America helped him in a fight against the Hulk. Spider-Man describes this as being "like the first or second time I went up against the Hulk...". The scene takes place in New York City, so it isn't referencing his encounter with the Hulk in Amazing Spider-Man #14 which took place in New Mexico. It also appears to be an early encounter between Spider-Man and Captain America, since Spidey gushes over Cap's praise and refers to himself as a 'nobody.'
015.250
"Who's That Girl?" Untold Tale featuring Mary Jane Watson.
015.500

After successfully fighting crime throughout the city, Spider-Man returns home to his Aunt May. Peter apologizes for being late, especially since it's Uncle Ben's birthday, the first birthday since he died.
015.540
[Pg. 3 panels 3 - 5] One week later, J. Jonah tells Betty Brant that Kraven the Hunter, a "living legend", is coming to the United States from Africa. He tells her to call Peter Parker (so he can take photos) because he wants to go to the pier and greet Kraven upon his arrival.
015.560

015.640
[Pg. 21 panels 1 - 3] Giant snakes come crawling from the cages, Kraven grabs them with his bare hands. Peter sneaks away to change into his costume.
015.660
[Pg. 4 panels 3 - 5] Peter now fully garbed as Spider-Man, makes his way to the ruckus. Kraven is taking care of the trouble, wrestling the wild animals into submission. He begins by tossing the snakes back into their drum.
015.680
[Pg. 21 panels 4 - 5] After tossing the snakes in their drum, Kraven squares up against the gorilla.
015.700
[Pg. 4 panel 6 - Pg. 5 panel 1] Kraven the Hunter punches one of the gorillas right in the mouth.
015.720
[Pg. 21 panel 6 - Pg. 22 panel 10] As the crowd watches in awe, Kraven wrestles the other gorilla, the two strangle one another.
015.740
[Pg. 5 panels 2 - 3] Spider-Man watches from above and does not intervene. Kraven body slams the gorilla.
015.760
[Pg. 22 panel 11 - End of page 23] Kraven stands victorious over the subdued gorilla. Spider-Man watches while perched to the walls above, he's impressed by Kraven's strength.
015.780
[Pg. 5 panels 4 - 6] Spider-Man changes back into his civilian clothes, tells J. Jonah that he was not able to snap any photos of Kraven wrestling the animals.
015.800
[Pg. 24 panels 1 - 2] J. Jonah berates Peter because he didn't manage to take any photos of ruckus.
015.820
[Pg. 6 panels 1 - 3] J. Jonah approaches Kraven for a second time, he asks why Kraven has come to the United States. Kraven says he's come to hunt Spider-Man. Peter Parker hears those remarks.
015.840

015.860
[Pg. 6 panel 4 - Pg. 7 panel 1] After Betty gives Peter the cold shoulder (she was upset by the attention Liz Allan showed Peter), he sits on the curb regretting his luck as a super hero. Meanwhile, the Chameleon provides Kraven with intel on how to defeat Spider-Man.
015.880
[Pg. 25 - Page 27 panel 3] The Chameleon and Kraven discuss their hunt for Spider-Man. This conversation quickly goes off the rail as Kraven exerts his dominance over the Chameleon. We learn that Chameleon was Kraven's boyhood companion, and Kraven was superior to him.
015.900
[Pg. 7 panel 2 - Pg. 8 panel 5] Spider-Man swings through the city, looking for crooks to bust so that he can snap some photos to sell to Jameson. He easily defeats a crew of thugs, while Kraven the Hunter watches stealthily from a rooftop close by. Kraven realizes Spidey will be a worthy foe.
015.920
[Pg. 28 panels 1 - 2] Spider-Man leaves the crooks webbed to the building wall, while Kraven watches from a distance. In the Senational Spider-Man 1996 Annual version of events, this first confrontation is depicted as occurring in the rain. That was not the case in the Amazing Spider-Man #15 version of this confrontation.
015.940
[Pg. 8 panel 6] Spider-Man continues to web-sling through the city.
015.960
[Pg. 28 panels 3 - 5] Spider-Man let's go of his webbing and lands on a different rooftop. His Spider-sense warns of an immediate danger.
015.980
[Pg. 9 panel 1] Spidey spots Kraven and calls out his name as he lands on the rooftop next to the hunter.
016.000
[Pgs. 29 - 30] Spider-Man tries to rationalize with the hunter, telling him I usually don't fight guys for no particular reason. Unlike ASM 15 (page 9 panel 1), in this depiction of the confrontation on the rooftop between Spider-Man and Kraven, it is pouring rain.
016.020
[Pg. 9 panel 2] Kraven charges the web-slinger.
016.040
[Pg. 31 panels 1 - 3] Kraven the Hunter charges the web-slinger, and tackles him.
016.060
[Pg. 9 panels 3 - 4] Kraven tosses Spider-Man through the air, Spidey crashes down on the rooftop.
016.080
[Pg. 31 panels 4 - 5] Spider-Man's head smacks the ground and he comes up dizzy.
016.100
[Pg. 9 panels 5 - 6] Kraven and Spider-Man trade blows back and forth.
016.115
[Pg. 1 - Page 2 panel 1] As the two combatants trade blows, Kraven looks up in the sky and sees the Green Goblin watching the fight. Kraven thinks to himself that the Goblin is witnessing him defeating Spider-Man, so the money is as good as his. During a flashback sequence in Amazing Spider-Man #47, it is revealed the Green Goblin had hired Kraven to hunt down and kill Spider-Man.
016.120
[Pg. 31 panel 6 - Pg. 32 panel 5] Kraven and Spider-Man continue to trade blows.
016.140
[Pg. 10 panel 1] Kraven takes the tooth on his belt, because it contains a potion that will poison Spider-Man.
016.160
[Pg. 32 panels 6 - 8] With Spider-Man's guard down, Kraven takes the tooth from his belt and charges toward Spidey.
016.180
[Pg. 10 panel 2] Kraven grabs Spider-Man in order to stab him with the laced tooth.
016.200
[Pg. 32 panel 9] Kraven draws blood from Spider-Man when he cuts him with the potion-laced tooth.
016.220
[Pg. 10 panel 3] Spider-Man starts feeling woozy from the effects of Kraven's potion.
016.240
[Pg. 32 panels 10 - 11] Spider-Man falls to his knees due to Kraven's potion, the hunter then scampers off the rooftop.
016.250
[Pg. 2 panel 2] In a flashback sequence, Kraven rationalizes that Spider-Man was able to escape him because he was preoccupied with thought of the Green Goblin watching their fight. It should be noted that Kraven appears to escape Spider-Man and not the other way around.
016.260
[Pg. 10 panels 4 - 5] Kraven claims victory from his first round with Spider-Man, a light-headed Spider-Man stumbles over to grab his camera.
016.280
[Pg. 32 panel 12 - End of page 34] Kraven was not as confident as he had appeared after his first encounter with Spider-Man. Chameleon finds him hiding in an alleyway, he appears to be shock saying only "spiders!". Chameleon reminds Kravinoff of how his father used to beat him and call him weak. This forces the hunter to return to his senses, the two then realize they need to work together to defeat Spider-Man.
016.290
[Pg. 10 panels 6 - 7] Spider-Man manages to get himself home, he notes to himself that Kraven's potions have caused his hands to continually twitch.
016.300
[Pg. 10 panel 8 - Pg. 11 panel 1] Meanwhile back at the Chameleon's hideout, Kraven and the Chameleon continue to develop their plan to defeat the wall-crawler.
016.305
[Pg. 2 panels 3 - 6] After Kraven and the Chameleon formulate their plan to defeat Spider-Man, Kraven returns to his hotel room and is visited by the Green Goblin's intermediary. Kraven requests the first payment from the Green Goblin, since he witnessed how Kraven outmatched Spider-Man physically. The intermediary tells Kraven that he'll only be given payment in full when Spider-Man is destroyed. Furious, Kraven demands the intermediary leave, however the hunter follows the man to his home. After waiting throughout the night, Kraven discovers that the Green Goblin's hireling is none other than the rich chemical manufacturer Norman Osborn! This knowledge will eventually lead to the events in Amazing Spider-Man #47. *Note this flashback sequence has been placed within the Amazing Spider-Man #15 story and not the Amazing Spider-Man #34 story because ASM15 has a two round fight between Kraven and Spider-Man with (at least) one day between the fights. The battle between Kraven and Spider-Man in Amazing Spider-Man #34 is one round, with no break for Kraven to leave and discover Norman Osborn as the Green Goblin's intermediary.
016.310
[Pg. 11 panels 2 - 3] The next morning Peter wakes up and brushes his teeth.
016.320
[Pg. 35 - Page 36 panel 1] Peter heads downstairs in his bathrobe and greets Aunt May. Aunt May says she's concerned over his behavior recently and wants him to be more careful because the world is a dangerous place. Peter soon heads back up to his room and thinks to himself that he hates lying to his aunt.
016.340
[Pg. 11 panel 4 - Pg. 13 panel 5] Peter gets dressed for the day and goes back downstairs to talk to his aunt again before he leaves for the Daily Bugle. Aunt May tells him that she's arranged a date for him with Mrs. Watson's niece (no name given, but she's referring to Mary Jane Watson). At the Daily Bugle Peter gets more guff from Betty over Liz Allan. Then later at school Peter drops a test tube because his hands are still shaky from the effects of Kraven's potion. After Peter returns home, he decides to track Kraven with his Spider-tracers.
016.360
[Pg. 36 panels 2 - 4] In his bedroom, Peter is half-dressed as Spider-Man and realizes that the toxin Kraven exposed him to is still affecting him. His hands continue to shake from Kraven's potion.
016.380
[Pg. 13 panel 6 - Pg. 15 panel 3] Soon after, Spider-Man goes out looking for Kraven, unfortunately he's forced to simply leap from building to building because his shaky hands won't allow him to shoot a straight webline. Meanwhile, Kraven tells the Chameleon that Spider-Man will come after him (its the law of survival in the jungle of course!), so they prepare accordingly. A short time later, Spider-Man, using his Spider-sense, eventually finds Kraven. But the web-slinger admits that his Spider-sense '"isn't sure" how to interpret the threat level of this person. Nevertheless he trails "Kraven" and follows him into a park. A different Kraven is waiting behind a tree and is preparing to drop a net over Spidey.
016.390
[Pg. 37 panels 4 - 7] Spider-Man's spider-sense alerts him to a pending danger, the lights in the park then turn off.
016.405
[Pg. 15 panels 4 - 5] The net comes crashing down on Spider-Man.
016.410
[Pg. 38 panels 1 - 4] Kraven's net covers the web-slinger.
016.415
[Pg. 15 panels 6 - 7] Spider-Man breaks the chain which was holding the net over him.
016.416
[Pg. 38 panel 5] Spider-Man shreds Kraven's net with his bare hands.
016.417
[Pg. 15 panel 8 - Pg. 16 panel 2] Spider-Man somersault flips his way out of the broken net. Kraven places steel manacles on to Spider-Man's right wrist and right ankle.
016.418
[Pg. 39 panels 4 - 5] Kraven snaps the manacles firmly on to Spider-Man, the web-slinger tries to run whilst the hunter chases him.
016.419
[Pg. 16 panel 3 - Pg. 17 panel 6] Kraven tosses another net at Spider-Man, the web-slinger dodges it. But he struggles to continuously evade Kraven's attack whilst the manacles on his wrist and ankle are magnetically attracting one another, effectively forcing Spider-Man to fight with one arm and one leg. He then webs up the manacles on his wrist. In the Amazing Spider-Man #15 story, Spidey webs up the manacles in order to stop them from making a sound. The sound was helping Kraven track his movements.
016.420
[Pg. 39 panel 6] Spider-Man continues to web up the manacles on his wrist and ankle. In the Sensational Spider-Man 1996 Annual version of the story, Spider-Man webs up the manacles in order to negate the magnetic field they created. It's possible that both reasons are true, but he does not state both rationales in both stories.
016.421
[Pg. 17 panel 7 - Pg. 18 panel 1] Using his Spider-sense, the web-slinger locates Kraven in the hedges.
016.422
[Pg. 39 panel 7 - Pg. 40 panel 1] Spider-Man approaches the figure behind the hedges, which appears to be Kraven the Hunter. Kraven yells, "No, please. Don't hurt me!!"
016.423
[Pg. 18 panel 2] Spider-Man unmasks the Chameleon, who was disguised as the 'other' Kraven. In the Amazing Spider-Man #15 version of this story, when Spidey unmasks Chameleon, he also wearing his iconic bathrobe.
016.424
[Pg. 40 panels 2 - 4] With the Chameleon revealed as the Kraven-impersonator, Spidey webs him to a tree and runs off. In the Sensational Spider-Man 1996 Annual version of this story, the Chameleon is fully-garbed as Kraven when this happens (minus the Kraven mask of course).
016.425
[Pg. 18 panel 3 - Pg. 19 panel 2] The real Kraven hides behind a tree, Spider-Man tosses the mask the Chameleon was wearing at the real Kraven.
016.426
[Pg. 41 panel 5] Kraven remains hidden behind the tree as Spider-Man continues searching for the 'real' Kraven.
016.427
[Pg. 19 panels 3 - 7] Kraven was able to lose Spider-Man for a bit and he makes a dash through the bushes to escape. Spider-Man was able to track him once again, but Kraven continues to flee. He eventually hides behind a large rock as Spider-Man continues searching for the hunter.
016.428
[Pg. 41 panel 6 - Pg. 42 panel 1] Kraven comes out from behind the rock and leaps toward Spidey, but the web-slinger easily deflects his attack.
016.429
[Pg. 20 panels 1 - 2] Spider-Man and Kraven continue fighting.
016.430
[Pg. 42 panels 2 - 6] Spider-Man knocks Kraven around, kicking and punching him.
016.431
[Pg. 20 panels 3 - 7] In a last desperate attempt to snare Spider-Man, Kraven tosses another net at him. Spider-Man easily evades the net as Kraven slips back into the bushes. Spider-Man then spins a giant web in between some trees, Kraven gets caught in the giant web.
016.432
[Pg. 43 panels 1 - 2] Spidey taunts Kraven while he's stuck to the giant web, then removes the manacle from his wrist.
016.433
[Pg. 21 panels 1 - 3] Spidey removes the manacle from his leg. He then makes a dash into the woods as he hears the police coming. He tells Kraven the police will find you and conduct an investigation into what has transpired.
016.434
[Pg. 43 panels 4 - 6] Spider-Man runs off into the woods as Kraven screams, "No--Don't leave me like this! Kill me--I beg you!"
016.435
[Pg. 21 panel 4 - End of page 22] From the woods, Spider-Man snaps photos of the authorities arresting Chameleon and Kraven. He then sells the photos to J. Jonah back at the Daily Bugle. When Peter returns home Aunt May tells him that Mrs. Watson's niece has a headache and won't be able to make their blind date, Peter is relieved. Soon after, Chameleon and Kraven the Hunter are deported out of the country and sent on a steamer to South America.
016.436
[Pg. 43 panel 7 - End of page 45] Whilst on the ship, Kraven is haunted by his encounter with the web-slinger. In the Sensational Spider-Man 1996 Annual version of the story, it says that the steamer Kraven is aboard is headed for Europe, not South America. Meanwhile, Peter heads off to dinner with Aunt May and Mrs. Watson.
016.450
"Spidey Battles Hawkeye the Marksman."
016.455
"Strange Encounter." Spider-Man and Dr. Strange take on Baron Mordo. This story takes place not long after Spider-Man had battled Commanda, the Green Goblin and Hawkeye. Interestingly, in Amazing Spider-Man Annual #2 while Spider-Man and Dr. Strange are battling Xandu, Spider-Man says this is beginning to feel like old times. This untold tale helps to rationalize that comment since this event takes place prior to the events of ASM@ 2 (despite being published after it).
016.500

016.600
"Unseen Dangers." Spider-Man battles the Headsman, another Green Goblin operative.

Liz asks Peter to join the gang for an "egg cream with [them] at Big Al's". Peter turns her down because he already has a date. He leaves school as Spider-Man and stops a few criminals along the way, including the Rhino. He ends up at his home in Forest Hills to see his Aunt May. His 'date' was to go with his Aunt May to Uncle Ben's grave. *Note This placement of this story at this point in the chronology can work because it is around this time (ASM 17 and ASM 18) that Liz is asking Peter to join her and the others for various social activities. However, there is a significant discontinuity here as well. Spider-Man does not battle the Rhino until ASM 41, yet in this issue not only do they battle but they appear to already know one another. That is directly at odds with what appears to be their first encounter in ASM 41. In the Rhino origin story (ASM 43), it is stated that the procedure which created the Rhino took "months." So the Rhino could have been created at this point, but, again, its unlikely that he came across Spider-Man at that time...but, hey, nothing is impossible.
018.500
[Pgs. 1 - 2] "The End of Spider-Man!". J. Jonah's newspaper and television broadcasts make Spider-Man's apparent 'cowardice' evident to hero and villain alike.
018.550
"Wings of Hatred." Spider-Man battles the Vulture.
018.600
"Menace!" Spider-Man and the X-Men battle Menace.
018.700
[Pg. 3 - Page 9 panel 5] Aunt May returns home from the hospital, Peter realizes he needs to make more money order to pay for her medicine. He tries to sell his image to an artist who makes sports cards, the artist turns him down. Spider-Man then decides not to stop a robbery in progress in fear that if something should happen to him, no one would be there to take care of Aunt May. Peter also struggles to resolve his relationship issues with Betty.
018.750
[Pg. 1 - Page 3 panel 1] That evening, the Scarecrow is on a crime spree, using his crows to help him steal jewelry. The next day, Peter is on his way to the Daily Bugle.
018.800
[Pg. 9 panels 6 - 9] When Peter arrives outside the Daily Bugle, he sees Betty Brant just as J. Jonah Jameson is calling his name out.
018.850
[Pg. 3 panel 2] J. Jonah continues calling to Peter, he eventually realizes Jameson was calling his name. It's worth noting here that in this story J. Jonah is depicted inside his limo still at this point. *Note A discontinuity tag has been added since JJJ remains in the car during his conversation with Peter in Untold Tales of Spider-Man #22 (compared to the scene in Amazing Spider-Man #18).
018.900
[Pg. 10 panel 1] J. Jonah asks if Peter has taken any new photos that he can sell him.
018.950
[Pg. 3 panels 3 - 4] Jameson tells Peter to take photos of the Scarecrow, because he's been on a crime spree.
019.000
[Pg. 10 panels 2 - 3] Jameson tells Peter as long as he doesn't try to sell him any more photos of Spider-Man, since the public is 'finished' with him (according to J. Jonah). Peter thanks Jameson for the get-well card he sent his Aunt May.
019.050
[Pg. 3 panel 5 - Pg. 4 panel 2] Peter realizes that at some point he'll need to take those photos of the Scarecrow because he needs to make money to pay Aunt May's medical bills.
019.100
[Pg. 10 panel 4 - End of page 19] Spider-Man tries to sell his web-formula to the scientists at Peerless Paste, they refuse to buy it because its not permanent. After randomly bumping into the Sandman, they fight briefly but Spider-Man retreats (again, worried something bad may happen to him which would be bad for Aunt May). Johnny Storm goes looking for Spider-Man and Flash does his best Spidey impression in order to help salvage the web-slinger's waning reputation.
019.150
[Pg. 4 panel 3 - Pg. 8 panel 4] Since he failed to sell his web-formula, later that evening Spider-Man tracks down the Scarecrow so that he can take the photos Jameson requested. After snapping a few photos, Spidey's plan was to simply dash out of there and avoid confrontation (once again, to prevent anything bad happening to him whilst his Aunt May needs him). Unfortunately, the Scarecrow and his crows have other plans, blocking Spidey's escape route. [Pgs. 1 - 3] During an event described as "years ago", Spider-Man stops two car thieves mid-robbery. The two turned out to be brothers named Ricky and Wyndell Dichinson. Wyndell would later resurface in Spider-Man's life years later as the mercenary killer, Bloodshed.

[Pgs. 3 - 7] At an unspecified time, at some point when Peter Parker was in high school, there was an incident at Midtown High involving the Vulture and Spider-Man. As the Vulture swooped through the school's stadium, Peter quickly changed over to Spider-Man from under the bleachers and when he emerged he did so very close to student blogger (too close for that blogger's comfort). The blogger, named Vanna, held a vendetta against the web-slinger and swore that over the years, he stalked her since Spider-Man always seemed to fight crime at places she attended. Spidey also failed to catch the Vulture that day at his high school.

In order to exact revenge upon the Avengers, Kang decides he wants to send a robot back in time defeat them. But not just any robot, Kang has been tracking Spider-Man from the future and he's marveled at the web-slinger's abilities. Most importantly however, is the fact that Spider-Man is a loner, he did not want to send a group because they could end up in-fighting. After helping the Avengers fight some crooks, robo-Spidey asks to join the Avengers, ultimately they turn him down. Before long, robo-Spidey has the entire Avengers team trying to fight him at the Temple of Tirod in Mexico (which is where robo-Spidey said Iron Man was being held captive). Not long after, the real Spider-Man arrives, he'd been tracking robo-Spidey since he arrived on the scene, trying to figure out what the robot was trying to do. Eventually the real Spider-Man defeats the robot, as the Avengers deduce that the mastermind behind the robo-Spidey was Kang. Interestingly, the real Spider-Man never actually interacts with the Avengers in this story.

"The Spider and the Shield!" Story takes place 'a few days after' the events of Avengers #11. Spider-Man and Captain America battle the Sandman and the Rogue Scholars. Spider-Man reveals that he borrowed a sky-cycle from the Fantastic Four in order to get to Mexico in Avengers #11. This story is listed as the 'first meeting' between Captain America and Spider-Man, but that is a bit discontinuous with the details of the story depicted in Fallen Son (The Death of Captain America): Spider-Man.
021.250
This is the third story (Fallen Son: Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man Annual #37 being the first two) that depict a scenario in which Spider-Man appears to meet Captain America for the first time. In this story, Cap helps Spider-Man defeat Electro and then the two share a heart-to-heart conversation. Captain America essentially profiles Spider-Man, deducing facts about Spider-Man life's by observing his behavior and technology. For instance, Cap suggests that Spidey's alter ego is most likely who doesn't fit in with the regular crowd in school. Their conversation goes very well though, and Captain America's main reason for tracking Spidey down that day was to confirm that the web-slinger is in the super hero business for the right reasons. They shake hands and share a laugh, then, as quickly as he arrived, Cap heads out to fight alongside the Avengers.

[Pgs. 12 - 14] Peter recalls an old memory, playing volleyball in high school. He then proceeds to have a conversation with his younger self about life. It's difficult to place the exact timing of this story, but 'young' Peter does state that he is sixteen years old at the time.

"Spider-Man Tackles the Torch!" A bit of a rivalry emerged between Spider-Man and the Human Torch during the early years of their super hero careers. This story shows an early crossover between the two heroes when Spidey crashed a party at Johnny Storm's girlfriend's, Doris Evans, house. The two end up fighting and Spidey does not leave on great terms with the Fantastic Four (although he does flirt a bit with Sue Richards).

Peter Parker makes a brief appearance when he bumps into Johnny Storm and the Thing on the campus of State U. The passive/aggressive relationship between Peter and Johnny continues when Johnny asks him if Peter's here for his autograph. Peter then goes along on his way, leaving the two members of the Fantastic Four behind.

Spidey makes an extremely brief (and comical!) cameo when he swipes a piece of cake from Sue and Reed's engagement party through the window of the Baxter Building. Spidey rationalizes that he's sure that the FF would have invited him had they known where to find him. He then quickly leaves as a ship is arriving, that ship contained the Frightful Four. No one at the party knew Spidey had swung by.

"Picture Perfect." Spider-Man and the Human Torch take on Dr. Doom. *Note During the conversation where Johnny Storm asked Peter to be his personal photographer, Peter references his various interactions with Johnny Storm which include events from Amazing Spider-Man #3, Amazing Spider-Man #8 (story 2) and Amazing Spider-Man #17. Also, Peter references his interaction with Johnny Storm in Amazing Spider-Man #21 and this story takes place while Peter is still in high school. Otherwise no clear place to put this one, and original MCP list had this story inserted in the middle of Amazing Spider-Man #25. That placement cannot work, since this story takes a few days to play out and there was only hours in between the issue Amazing Spider-Man #25 that it was placed. Moreover, in ASM #24 Peter throws his Spider-beam light source on a rooftop to distract Flash (who was tailing him) into thinking Spidey is close by. In ASM #25, Peter goes to retrieve that Spider-beam and says that he put it there yesterday. This essentially puts ASM #24 directly into ASM #25. So this story should go just before ASM #24.

[Pgs. 10 - 17] Mayday Parker is transported back in time after she follows the villain Spyral through a dimensional portal. She soon realizes she's at Midtown High around 20 years earlier and finds her father being harassed by Flash Thompson (he's giving Peter guff about the time he's been spending with Liz). Mayday then comes in direct contact with her dad, who believes she's touring the school because she's thinking about transferring to Midtown. Soon after she tails her dad, but his Spider-sense alerts him to her presence and before long Spider-Man is face to face with Spider-Girl. There's a mild tussle between the two but they remain relatively calm. Spider-Man then abruptly leaves because he sees an old lady being mugged. The rest of this story feeds right into ASM #25, where Peter, at the Daily Bugle offices witnesses the debut of Smythe's first Spider-Slayer. Not long after that, Spider-Girl is attacked by the Spider-Slayer!

[Pgs. 1 - 19] "Captured by J. Jonah Jameson!" After Smythe debuts his latest invention, the Spider-Slayer, J. Jonah Jameson uses it to attack the web-slinger. Ultimately, Spider-Man is able to outwit Smythe and JJJ as they end up capturing an empty suit. Since Mayday Parker had traveled back in time and was present NYC at this point, Peter changes back into his Spider-Man costume and leaves to go find this new 'Spider-Girl.'
026.000
[Pgs. 12 - 19] After outwitting JJJ and Smythe and their Spider-Slayer, Spider-Man tracks down Spider-Girl (aka his daughter from the future Mayday Parker). Spider-Girl proves to be worthy adversary and she's able to initially evade Spider-Man. However, the Human Torch, who she had bested earlier in this story, also tracks her down and now she's trapped between the Torch and Spider-Man. Before the two heroes can nab her, a giant green flow of energy (ie, a portal) shows up close by. It is Spyral and he's preparing a trip home. Spider-Girl makes her way over there and at first they attack the villain. But then Spyral explains that since they came together, they must leave together. The Torch wants to stop Spider-Girl, but Spider-Man says something about her makes him want to help her. So off she goes, back to her home dimension with Spyral. But before she leaves, she tells Spider-Man that, "I hope I'll always be worthy of your faith in me, Dad!" Suffice to say, that catches Spider-Man a little off-guard. As an interesting side note, Mayday also meets her mother Mary Jane, who at this point in the continuity has not been formally introduced to Peter Parker yet! Discontinuity disclaimer: This entry get a discontinuity flag because at the conclusion of Amazing Spider-Man #25, Peter claims he's a superhero without a costume (since Aunt May nabbed his backup and he left the other one behind when he taunted JJJ with the 'Spider-Man puppet). This story, which takes place within ASM25, features Spider-Man, in costume, when he teams up with Mayday. That team up took place after Spidey taunted JJJ, so he should not have a costume to change into. That's important because at the outset of ASM26, Peter is still in need of a costume and he ends up donning a store-bought Spider-Man costume.
026.250
[Pg. 20] Conclusion to "Captured by J. Jonah Jameson!". Peter returns home a short time later and Aunt May confronts him about a Spider-Man costume she found. He tells her it was disguise he planned to fool someone, and of course Aunt May agrees Peter can't be Spider-Man...

[Pgs. 3 - 10] Following the "death" of Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four #587, Spider-Man visits the remaining members of the team at the Baxter Building. Collectively mourning the loss of the Torch, each remaining member of the team shares a memory that connects Spider-Man and the Human Torch. The first is shared by The Thing, who recalls a time when Spider-Man, alongside the Fantastic Four, battled a monster called Krakatoom in the woods of upstate New York. Spidey and the Torch bond over a series of pranks they pull on each other and then they bond even moreso when they pull a prank Grimm. And, yes, together Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four defeat Krakatoom. By Grimm's description, this memory most likely took place when Johnny and Peter were young, perhaps even while Peter was still in high school. Grimm specifically refers to them as teenagers. Thus the reason for this flashback being listed around the time Peter was still young and in high school.

[Pgs. 12 - 19] Following the "death" of Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four #587, Spider-Man visits the remaining members of the team at the Baxter Building. Collectively mourning the loss of the Torch, each remaining member of the team shares a memory that connects Spider-Man and the Human Torch. The second of these memories is shared by Sue Richards. Sue tells the story of when she, Peter and Johnny battled the Frightful Four (although this story only depicts three villains, Wizard, Trapster and the Beetle). Sue uses her invisible powers to embarrass the Wizard by exposing his underwear, ultimately leading to her getting arrested after they defeat the villains. There's no obvious place to put this flashback, however, it is mentioned that Paste Pot Pete has recently changed his name to Trapster. That occurred in Fantastic Four #38, which would have been around the time of Amazing Spider-Man #25. So this story clearly must take place some time after that.
