1996 Marvel OverPower Promo (Hillshire Farm)

This set of 20 promotional cards were distributed with Lunch ‘N Munch products in Summer 1996. It featured:

• Doppelganger 3-attribute character card (can play Spider-Man specials), which was later reprinted as a 4-attribute card in 1996 Marvel Overpower IQ.
• Any Hero "Alien Symbiote" special, later reprinted in 1996 Marvel Overpower IQ.
• Eight new specials (one each for Carnage, Doctor Octopus, Hobgoblin, Mysterio, Rhino, Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man, and Venom). Never reprinted.
• Reprints of 3-attribute character cards for Black Cat, Doctor Octopus, Hobgoblin, Mysterio, Rhino, Scarlet Spider, Silver Sable, Spider-Man, Venom.
• Reprint of the "Universe: Generator 6E + 1" (Electro) card.

Card was the new woven card. Styling on the specials was the PowerSurge design and copyright information was "© 1996 Marvel. Distributed by Fleer." The 10 new cards (Doppelganger, Alien Symbiote, and the 8 new Special cards) featured the Hillshire Farm logo on the face making them easily identifiable.

The 10 reprint cards (9 Character cards, 1 Universe card) had no logo, and can be identified only by the combination of original card stock with 1996 copyright date.

These cards could also be ordered as a full sealed pack of 20 cards.
