I have been a fan of spidey for a long time, however, during a time I was unable to keep up with his life. Please tell what happened with spider-man's baby. Boy or Girl or Mutant?
Ummm... let's go with a) and b). Next question?
I'm looking for an issue of AMAZING SPIDERMAN that would have come out around Christmas time in the mid 1970s. It featured the lizard and one other reptillian monster. The two reptiles were trying to kill each other, and Spiderman was trying to protect Doc Connors while preventing the two from hurting anyone else. I believe that the other reptile ends up frozen in a lake or something, but I was about 6 years old when I read it, it was one of the first things I ever read of my own volition, and I wasn't really sure what was going on. I remember the first page quite clearly--it's snowing, and Spiderman is above New York, and he uses the words "yours truly." That fascinated me, because when he said 'yours,' I thought he meant me!
Hah! I can do that one from memory - ASM #165/#166. The second part was the first full color issue of Amazing I ever brought, and it rekindled my interest as a 16 year old, which I had lost for 3 years. Next question?
I've just got a quick question about "retcon": What does it actually STAND FOR?
I gather it means "to cancel out the storyline" or something similar...sort of a "Dynasty Dream Sequence" thing.
Ret-Con means 'Retro-active Continuity', yeah - Dynasty Dream Sequence is as bad as they get. Oh, unless you include Clones. Clones would have to be THE worst. Anyhow, there's the answer. Next question?
I would like to make a contribution to the Spider-Man fan fiction and fan art section in your page. Here Is a drawing of the green goblin I made with pencils and pencil crayons.
Thanks RJ, that's a pretty cool picture! But you're supposed to phrase your answer in the form of a question. I'm afraid I'm going to have to deduct points, and you miss the next round.
But we did add this picture to our Fans : Art page. Thanks!
I was enjoying your web page and I thought I would let you know something. I am friends with Tom Lyle who drew quite a few Spider-man books. He drew Spider-man from 35-37, 44-61 and numerous annuals and one-shots. I put together a catalog of Tom's original art for him. He has a ton of Spider-man art. If you are interested send $3 to this address...
The Art of Tom Lyle, P.O. Box 81512, Phoenix, Az 85069-1512
The $3 is taken off your first purchase. I hope this interests you, have a good one.
There ya go, original-art fans - something to look at. Thanks, Ray.

Congratulations for your PPP number of this month. I celebrate the review of MTU Time Travel history because it is one of my favourites, and my only favorite story not well known. I live in Spain and I have a couple of questions: I like very much the trade paper backs "The Essential", but it's very difficult for me to buy it here. I must travel and check every week. I get the first 3 numbers, but I'm not sure about how many issues they will print and what is the period to appareance in the US market. Could you help me? I'm a Veteran Spidey biographer. Your page is the best. And J. Burch your best collaborator. Marvel rules!
Thanks. Congratulations. Sure? Shame! Wow. Me neither. Sadly not! Congratulations one more. And again. Look, Mrs Burch - I've told you, relatives of the contributors are not allowed to submit to the letters page, and if you think that phony 'Spanish' accent fooled me for a moment...
