Spectacular Spider-Man (UK Magazine) (Page 1 of 9)

While sharing the same name as the long-running main continuity title, this Spectacular Spider-Man is in fact a Kids Magazine produced in the UK once every three weeks.

Aimed at the pre-teen market, the title originally started off containing a short reprint, padded out with a center-fold wall poster, puzzles, games, villain profiles and all sorts of other goodies. As an extra incentive, each issue also ships with a plastic Spider-Man toy or giveaway sellotaped to the front cover.

Starting with issue #52, this title dropped the reprints and was upgraded to contain a short (11 page) original-content story of a generic out-of-continuity Spider-Man. These stories were created by a UK-based creative team.

The original stories were dropped with issue #226 and the title was renamed (and temporarily re-sized) to become Spider-Man (UK Magazine) #227 in 2011. Then in 2013 the title changed name again in order to tie-in with the popular Ultimate Spider-Man TV (2012) series, beginning with Ultimate Spider-Man (UK Magazine) #255.
