Ultimate Spider-Man (2012) is the first Spider-Man TV Series to be created after Disney took ownership of Marvel. It features a young, inexperienced Spider-Man who is adopted for training by Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. joining Nick's of super-heroes including Nova (Sam Alexander), White Tiger (Ava Ayala), Luke Cage (Power Man) and Iron Fist (Danny Rand).
The series is fast-paced, and self-referential, with Spider-Man continually "Breaking the Fourth Wall" to talk directly to the audience. Despite a polarized critical reception, the series eventually ran four seasons, finishing in 2017 after 104 episodes.
