This game was available in two different starter decks, which included a semi-random mix of cards. The suffix of "-A" or "-B" indicate cards that were typically included in the "A" or "B" starter boxed decks.
There were 250 cards in a complete set (or 249 given that card #88 was not generally distributed). Most "Hero" cards, and some non-Hero cards come in "Foil" and non-Foil variants, which are functionally identical except that the rare Foil version grants a additional +10 (or more) bonus. Foils were distributed approximately 1 card per 2 booster packs. So this game was "pay to win", which I loathe in a game.
That means you're looking at buying 200 booster packs (three pack designs Spidey/Wolvie/Elektra, 36 packs per box) to get all of the 100 foil cards that would allow you to play this game competitively, or if you were a collector me and simply wanted to acquire the complete set because it satisfied your OCD. Fortunately, the game was pretty terrible, and very few people actually bothered trying to collect all the cards.
Note: Card #88 "The Hand" received limited distribution only, before being discontinued due to printing problems. It was re-released in the 2002 Recharge 2 CGC second edition as card #250.
