Peter was imprisoned awaiting trial for full multiple murders in Utah on the basis of fingerprint evidence. He didn't do it and his clone Ben Reilly has swapped places with him so Peter can be with his pregnant wife, Mary-Jane. MJ has been told that there could be a problem with the baby she's carrying due to Peter's infected blood. Judas Traveller has been revealed as some sort of mysterious, well traveller, who is hundreds of years old and is searching for the true meaning of evil and good. Peter saved his life after he had played with the time continuum. A new Green Goblin has appeared - and seems to be a good guy - and the mysterious character of Kaine is still over-looking the events in Peter's life. Also, the Jackal has yet another Peter clone.

Spidey is out looking for Kaine and finds him quite easily. Kaine tells him he didn't mean to frame Peter for the murders - instead he wanted to frame Ben. They fight into a dance class.
At the court, the prosecutor is making his opening statements, while Ben is hoping Peter can get him out of the mess. Spidey and Kaine are still fighting. Kaine says he respects Peter for all he's done but protecting Ben is a step too far.
In his car outside the court, Detective Raven hears about a fight involving Spider-Man he tells Stunner - Doc Ock's old sidekick who wants to get Kaine for killing Ock - and they go to investigate as they guess Spidey's fighting Kaine.
In court, the defence opens its case with the lawyer telling the jury their responsibility is not to convict the wrong man. Back at the dance studio, Spidey and Kaine rumble out onto the road when Stunner and Raven turn up. Stunner wants to kill Kaine but Spidey and Raven need him alive. Judas Traveller teleports into the alley where they're fighting and spirits away Kaine and Spidey.
In court, the prosecution calls Mary-Jane.
Not too much happens in this one, so there's not much really to write.
