MJ and Pete are at an art exhibition with Kristy, Aunt May and her new 'bit of rough' Mr Lumpkin. Actually Lumpkin is just her mailman. A blind girl Alicia – who is married to Johnny Storm - has made a sculpture of the Fantastic Four. Namor (The Sub Mariner) turns up and Alicia shows him the sculpture she has made of him.
The party is interrupted by some big Gorilla-type thing bursting through a wall. Big gorilla-type creatures lurching through a wall at an art exhibition to tend to put a dampener on things, I guess. For some reason, this guy, called Nagan, is looking for Spider-Man. After a quick clothes switcheroo, Pete gives him what he wants.
Next, this other guy – Ruby – shows up. He has an extendable neck and arms … like you do, I guess. There's also this other guy with a floppy neck. The three of them go after Spidey. Johnny Storm isn't much use, by the way. These three weirdoes are apparently some characters from She-Hulk.
After much confusion and a lot of pages that all look strikingly similar, Spider-Man and Johnny Storm eventually web up the bad guys.
Crossovers do not a story make, and there's not much else to work with. This ain't good stuff. But we've just begun, there's three more issue to go!
