Marvel team up is just that, the teaming up of some of Marvel's most popular characters. Here they are put into situations, where more than not, depending on each other will win the day over acting solo.

We start off with a nice sunny day in New York, when suddenly, BAM, the Avenger's Tower is blown to bits. A Lord Chronok stands impressed with himself over his destruction. He chats with a minion about their plan implemented through out the world. Apparently, Lord Chronok has orchestrated a world-wide attack against all heroes. The status is nearly 90% of all heroes are all dead. Lord Chronok also explains how they are from the future and have traveled back to kill all these heroes.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man with Mary Jane in hand swings as he is being attacked by more minions. Mary Jane runs off and Spider-Man is shot down and killed. Next, Speedball is attacked but manages to escape. Next, Yellow Jacket and the Wasp are talking and getting ready to fight, when suddenly a bomb enters and explodes. They are killed. While Luke Cage is fighting more bad guys, Gravity enters the fight. Luke is melted but fighting back. Together both Luke and Gravity defeat the bad guys but Luke dies. Lastly, Darkhawk watches the tragedies on TV and decides to head back to his headquarters. Once there, he sees Ricochet get blasted and killed. He takes off and is blasted out of the sky. After falling to the ground, Darkhawk changes back to Chris Powell to avoid detection. Darkhawk ponders the idea that he might be the last hero and he now has to go to New York.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story. The dialogue is a little too explanatory, but still the idea behind the story is still intriguing. I like the idea that "lesser" heroes are called to duty. I'm on board for the next issue!
New story arc that is appealing gives reason for the rating.
