**Spoilers if you don't like to know what's happening next in comics until you pick them up!!!**
Over the last few months, TONS of Spider-Man news has come out, so I will be posting some of it here. Enjoy:
-In the arc in which Superior Spider-Man is (supposedly) fired from the Avengers, the long-awaited return of Cardiac is finally occurring!
-Khoi Pham is leaving Scarlet Spider on Scarlet Spider #17. Carlo Barberi is taking his place, drawing an arc where The Assassin's Guild hires Kaine to kill Wolverine. Sounds exciting...
-Peter Parker and Otto Octavius will have a battle of the minds in Superior Spider-Man #9 and only one will survive. (My money is on Otto, assuming that the series is still called the Superior Spider-Man after that issue.)
-In Superior Spider-Man #10, the Green Goblin will be returning!
-In June, Spider-Man will make a guest appearance in Savage Wolverine, written by Zeb Wells and illustrated by Joe Madureira. It will also, sadly, include Electra.
-In the next Venom arc, Toxin and Venom will team up to fight symbiote slayers. It sounds a bit strange, doesn't it? I hope Cullen Bunn and Declan Shalvey make it more enjoyable than the last few arcs.
-Finally, Cloak and Dagger are making their debut in the Ultimate universe in June. Surprisingly, Miles is also (supposedly) giving up being Spider-Man before the story. Of course, this is probably going to end the same way every other story of its nature does. Everything will be back to normal in the end.
On to news from the upcoming movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2! (Geez, the least they could have done is add a new title for it. Captain America 2 is called Captain America: Winter Soldier and Thor 2 is called Thor: The Dark World. Where's the creativity in ASM 2?) Well, despite the name, here is the news:
-Jamie Fox has been casted as Electro, Shailene Woodley is Mary Jane, Dane DeHaan is Harry Osborn, Chris Cooper is Norman Osborn, and Paul Giamatti is the Rhino. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone have the same roles as before.
-A new costume for Spider-Man has been revealed, looking much like the traditional webs. But Garfield's stunt double tweeted a picture of himself on the set for the new move in the costume from the first movie. Could the movie start with one costume and end with another or something?
-Ravencroft has been confirmed to be in the new movie. Plus, a laboratory with lockers that look a lot like the ones that kept the Venom symbiote from Ultimate Spider-Man was tweeted a while ago? Could Venom show up in the new move as a cliffhanger or are we being tricked? (I doubt that Venom would be a third villain in the move.)
That is it! If you think I should add something else or wanted to ask me about something, just email me.
