The Rocket's Blast Comicollector came about from a merger, in 1964, of two fanzines/adzines; G.B. Love's "The Rocket's Blast" and Jerry Bails' "The Comicollector." Under James Van Hise, in the 1970s, the publication became more of a professional magazine-size publication than fanzine. It ran from 1964 to 1982, though Van Hise did revive it for 3 issues in 2002-2003.
