The Funday Sunnies was a 7 1/2" by 10 1/2" tabloid included with the Sunday Lawrence (Massaschusetts) Eagle-Tribune that featured the Sunday comics for the week. Featured, along with Spidey, were Doonesbury, the Born Loser, Andy Capp, Miss Peach, Dick Tracy, Berry's World, Tank McNamara, Kelly & Duke, Tarzan, Heathcliff, Brenda Starr, BC, Dennis the Menace, Broom Hilda, Frank and Ernest, Ziggy, Cathy, The Family Circus, According to Guinness, The Wizard of Id, Momma, Funky Winkerbean, Ferd'nand, Animal Crackers, Bugs Bunny, Mark Trail, Shoe, Mutt and Jeff, Mary Worth, Encyclopedia Brown, Crock, and Lolly. Star Wars replaces According to Guinness between Volume 2 #11 and Volume 2 #16. By Volume 2 #39 For Better or For Worse, Latigo, and Shambles have replaced Brenda Starr, Broom Hilda, Dick Tracy, Encyclopedia Brown, Ferd'Nand, Mark Trail, Mutt and Jeff, Shoe, and Star Wars. In Volume 2 #42, Brenda Starr returns, forcing BC and Crock into half pages. By Volume 3 #9, Cathy is gone, replaced by ads until she returns in Volume 3 #13. In Volume 3 #10, Broom Hilda replaces Shambles. Spidey's last appearance is Volume 3 #13, March 30, 1980. He is replaced in the middle of the "Carole and the Kingpin" storyline by Goosemyer.
