Through a mysterious set of circumstances, The Invaders (a pre-Avengers team of superheroes from WWII that included Captain America, Bucky, Namor, The (original) Human Torch, Toro, Spitfire, and Union Jack) cross over from their time period into a Post Civil War America, and run afoul of both teams of Avengers (a modern-day version of The Invaders), setting off yet another Summer-long "event"-driven storyline.
The comic is co-produced by Dynamite Entertainment.
