Once an ordinary pirate, the Evil Eye was endowed with the power of an "evil eye" (concealed under his eye-patch) which would induce all who were exposed to it to do the last thing they'd ever want to do. The Evil Eye went forth into town causing trouble, and Spiderman tried to stop him, but the Evil Eye flashed his evil eye, making Spiderman dance merrily and allow the Evil Eye to escape. The Evil Eye was finally undone when he flashed a peace-loving flower child, inducing her to punch him in same eye (the last thing she wanted to do was to hurt someone), taking away his power and giving him a whole new outlook on life. As such, Spidey, The Evil Eye & the flower child all wished us peace and walked off into the distance together.
