Cut to the Trisklellion, the Ultimates H.Q. Nick Fury is receiving a live reports of the events going on atop the Queensborough Bridge from Agent Quartermain. After the Goblin throws Mary off, Fury orders Quartermain to shoot at the Goblin. Quartermain and his helicopters do so, but it's not quite enough to take the Goblin down.
Back on the walkway of the bridge, Mary finally wakes up. Spider-Man orders her into hiding, away from her house or any Osborns and in an abandoned warehouse. Thankfully, a Spider-Man friendly cabbie is present to take Mary away from the battle. Once her safety is assured, Spider-Man leaps right back into battle and begins beating the tar out of Obsorn, retaining some portion of his trademark wit.
Quartermain and the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopters again open fire on the Goblin, who isn't looking well at all. The Goblin escapes back towards his penthouse, and Spider-Man and the copters give chase.
Osborn injects obscene amounts of Oz into himself to stay alive, but Harry stumbles into the scene. Osborn speaks the control words (Cellar Door) and Harry passes out. Injecting even MORE Oz into himself, Osborn transforms himself into an even more massive, hulking, version of the Goblin. Spider-Man arrives on the scene and the fight continues. Spider-Man's mask gets torn up in the battle, and Harry awakes to find his mutated father strangling his unmasked best friend.
It's hardly fair to comment to much in the middle of a cliff-hanger like this. So let me just say that I was left sitting on the edge of my seat, give it a great rating, and let's wait for the wrap-up before getting too detailed. See ya in an issues time!
Fantastic so far. Four and a half webs!
