On some strange monster island, a man in a pith helmet is tossed into a big hole by a shadowy figure and forced to flee from giant lizards. Some time later, the same man takes a plane back to Tokyo, where he is enthusiastically greeted by his wife. But that evening, when she comes up to their room with some liquid refreshment, she is confronted by a man-like lizard in a bathrobe. The Lizard mercilessly snaps the woman's neck.

At Koda Pharmaceuticals, a Doctor (who turns out to be Yu's friend Araki's father and whose name is, apparently, "Araki's father") is lauded for having created a new medicine, which is "going to sell like crazy". But this meeting is broken up by the Lizard who smashes five of Koda's factories so thoroughly that they burst into flames and burn to the ground.

At Otowa High School, Yu reads the news report of the Lizard but decides not to investigate. He is still too consumed with guilt over the death of Rumi's brother, from last issue. After class, Araki convinces Yu to join him in renting some motorbikes. They decide to travel down to Araki's father's house.

Overall Rating

Two and a half webs.
