This is a "Copy Colour" book from UK publisher "Alligator". They've produced a reasonable range of inexpensive Marvel/Spidey books over the past decade or so. I haven't found them for sale anywhere outside the United Kingdom.
This one is part of a set of three or four "Spider-Sense Spider-Man" branded products from 2009.
This book is UK Magazine sized, i.e. 8.25" x 11.7". It has a glossy stapled cover. Inside are 24 clean white high-quality paper pages.
Each double-page spread features the same image twice, firstly in full-color, and secondly in black and white outline for you to colour in with paints, pencils or felt-tip pens. I've uploaded scans of the Green Goblin images for you to see.
There are 11 double-pic pairs, featuring: Spider-Man, SM + Hobgoblin, SM + Venom, SM + Spider-Woman, SM + Prowler, Spider-Man, SM + Sandman, SM + Green Goblin, SM + Morbius, Spider-Man, and SM + Rhino.
Page one is the title page. Page 24 is a half-painted image of Spider-Man for you to complete.
This book does one thing only, and it does it really well.
I can't think of any other Spider-Man colouring book that uses this format, which makes this a pretty original idea, despite being jolly obvious as soon as you think about it.
The format works really well. The book is large, and the coloured pictures are bright and bold, which makes the product visually appealing even when uncoloured.
Quality-Quantity-Price. You can have any two, but you can't have all three.
With just 24 pages, the book does feel a little bit thin. But I guess the full-colour printing process isn't cheap, and with a low £2.99 price tag, this book still feels like good value.
I like this one. Four webs.
