This is a folded single sheet, black and white self-promotional item from Marvel in 1989.
There's no price or UPC on this item. Evidence would suggest that they were freebies distributed to comic stores to be given away to customers as promotional items.
Folded, this promo is 5.5" x 8.5". It unfolds twice into a double-sided sheet 11" x 17".
On one side is a large black and white poster, suitable for coloring. On the other is (a) the front cover as seen from the scan, (b) a two "page" spread with three puzzles - a crossword, a wordfind, and a "match the powers to the hero" puzzle. On the final sheet is a five panel Captain America story for you to color and provide dialogue for. That final sheet also contains the answers to the puzzles.
Spider-Man appears as a floating head on the cover, as well as being in the forefront of the poster, and several mentions in the puzzles.
The paper is clean and white, with a relatively high quality closer to poster paper than newsprint.
The three puzzles are well targeted to young Marvel fans, and are well-varied. The black and white actually looks quite stylish, and the overall effect is a simple, but carefully-constructed freebie.
This promo was free, and it was a bargain at that price.
Simple and stylish, let's give it four webs.
