Background

This coloring book is from UK publisher Parragon, in 2014. It was released around the same time as Marvel Sticker Play (Parragon).

Story Details

  Marvel Colour Fun (Parragon)
Summary: Colouring Book (Spider-Man Appears)

It is 8.5" x 10.7", square-bound with a soft cardboard cover. It contains 32 pages in "pink and white" for coloring. There are no bonus materials included in this product.

The pages are all coloring only, there are no puzzles or activities. There are three separate stories:

  1. 13 pages Avengers vs. Baron Zemo and his crime-bots.
  2. 10 pages Spider-Man vs. Black Cat.
  3. 8 pages X-Men vs. Arcade.

The Spider-Man story is very simple. J. Jonah Jameson, publisher of the Daily Bugle, sends his teenage photographer Peter Parker to the museum to take photos.

At the museum, Peter sees the Black Cat stealing stuff. Peter changes into Spider-Man and stops her from stealing stuff, then hands her over to the police.

General Comments

The pink pages are not attractive at all. The entire book has a rather cheap and down-market feeling to it, which is unusual for Parragon, whose products are typically of a very appealing visual quality.

Overall Rating

Not their best work, really. Two-point-Five Webs.
