The movie is here and madness plagues those fortunate enough to have seen it already... Seriously, here are some of our initial comments on Spider-Man: The Movie. Don't worry there's no spoilers. Look for a full review scroll down, beware it DOES include spoilers!
If you like the comics, you WILL like the movie.
It will amuse, delight, and AMAZE you.
Very well done, casting was perfect on all characters, story great, and visual effects.....................AMAZINGI loved it,my wife (who never read a comic) loved it, my sons 15 & 13: one of the all time "FAV movies" "AWESOME"

I'm not going to spoil it for anybody who hasn't seen it yet (although if it's playing in your area, what the J. Jonah Jameson are you waiting for???) but I have to say that this was one hell of a movie. Each and every major member of the cast had their characters down cold, it was true to the spirit of the comic, and it pulled me into the story from minute one. Maguire, Dunst, DeFoe, all of you take a bow. You deserve it and then some. This was well worth the 10-year wait. (Actually, that probably saved the movie. If James Cameron's version had made it to the big screen--complete with Leonardo DiCaprio--it would have been ME jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge!)
Now my only problem is figuring out how to afford seeing this ten or fifteen more times. Do theaters have frequent flier programs? :)
Hey, this may have been mentioned earlier--this has been a brutal week and I haven't kept up on e-mail--but are we going to have some sort of group review for the movie like we did with "Revelations" and "Final Chapter?" I'd love to be able to throw my $.02 in.
Awesome, awesome movie. Get these guys going on the sequel NOW! :)
