Jeanne found some info about Universal Studios, Florida's plans for the Marvel Universe on the USF website. It reads in part:
Spider-Man, the X-Men, The Incredible Hulk and other Marvel Comics Super Heroes will be permanent residents of Universal's Islands of Adventure®. These super champions and super villains, which remain the most popular comic book characters of all time, will achieve new heights of popularity as they are brought to life through the application of never-before-seen technologies incorporated into incomparable rides and spellbinding offerings.
Also, Florida's Universal Studio's is planning on a "CityWalk" for their site as well, although their version of it looks less like a mall and more like an entertainment center. They plan on having a "Marvel Mania" restaurant there. Here's what they say about it:
Marvel Mania -- A unique and thrilling new Marvel comic-book themed restaurant, Marvel Mania, brings to life a world-famous cast of comic book heroes and villains in a truly marvelous multi-media experience. Spider-Man, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four and others will leap out of the pages of the world's number one selling comic books to inspire a superhero menu and decor. Families will be transported into the fictional "Marvel Universe," populated by nearly 4,000 comic book characters.
4,000 characters, eh? Sounds like it might be pretty well packed?
