Spider-Man Title Changes Becoming Clearer
Marvel has started to release clearer details on some of the creative changes
occurring among Spider-Man's stable of books early next year. Here's a short
summary:
- Marvel is targeting the first quarter of 2003 for the changes to the
core Spider-Man titles. These changes include the debut of J. Michael
Straczynski and John Romita Jr.'s new Spider-Man title (18 issues a year),
Kevin Smith and Terry Dodson taking over Amazing Spider-Man (12 issues a year)
and the debut of Paul Jenkins' new Spider-Man title.
- Humberto Ramos will
most likely be the penciller of the title penned by Paul Jenkins.
- Some
unconfirmed rumours include Kevin Smith bringing MJ back, Paul Jenkins bringing
Venom back, and probably the least likely rumour (though it's hard to tell
these days): that JMS has dibs on unmasking Spidey! ala, Daredevil, Iron Man
and Captain America.
