Dear Andrew Miller, I really appreciate your reviews. You bring the good and bad out of any comic book. I recently read your review for ASM 684, and I loved it. I would have given it the same response you did. I only wish you could help a site called Spiderman Crawlspace. The reviewers seriously HATE Spiderman. They gave ASM 684 a terrible review. They must really hate Dan Slott. The No One Dies storyline got a one out of five from them. They focus on the negatives so much more than the positives.
Thank you for the kind words. It's always nice to hear from people who enjoy the reviews!
I checked out Spider-Man Crawl Space, as I wasn't familiar with the site. The staffers there clearly put a lot of work into maintaining the site and keeping the reviews flowing. While I don't agree with their reviews of the "Ends of the Earth" storyline, either in general or in most of the particulars, I respect the work they've put in. And honorable people may differ about the quality of a comic: I still remember the rough ride I got from some of my fellow SpiderFan staffers for my negative reviews of "The Grim Hunt". Not everything can be to everybody's taste.
Still, I'm glad that you and I are both enjoying "Ends of the Earth".
Thanks for writing,
--Andrew
I'm going to stick with Spiderman Crawlspace for everything NOT involving ASM reviews. I wish your site was more UP TO DATE. But you'll always have me looking forward to your reviews.(-:
I wish the site was more up to date too. But then I do have a family and a job, so reviewing Spider-Man comics has to take a backseat. Most of the staff is in the same boat.
