Hi, I like your review of Amazing Spider-man 662. I just thought I'd drop you a quick line and let you know about a very minor mistake... you write that the book is on a three-times-a-month schedule. That was only for BND. Since Slott took over sole writing duties, it's on a twice-a-month schedule. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I'm right about that.
Hi Daniel,
Turns out we're both right. And Wrong. Confused? Let me explain.
The 3-a-month shipping schedule ended with ASM #647, and issue #648, Slott's first as regular writer, shipped in November. Two issues shipped in November, but only one ("Big Time pt. 3") in December.
January was back to two issues (#651 & #652), but February brought three (and the total for the month goes up to four if one counts the #654.1 issue). And in the month of May, ASM just shipped three issues again (#660 - #662).
Stopping at May and looking at the math, that's 14 issues for 7 months, which does equal two a month. So the official line is that ASM is now on a two-a-month schedule, but as we can see, due to delays, or behind the scenes decisions, the actual shipping schedule can be as fluid nowadays as it was during Brand New Day (I have no proof but something tells me it was a combo of being late last December and trying to get the book on schedule for this summer's Spider-Island event).
Thanks for reading and writing in!
