I was wondering if you guys at SpiderFan.org have a list of what comes after "Death of Spider-Man" in Ultimate Spider-Man #160. I heard something on Marvel.com about a continuation in "Ultimate Fallout" but I don't know what that is or if I have read it already (maybe it's a story from another title?). It would be great to know what comes next if you guys know yet.
Indeed. Ultimate Fallout is a six-issue limited series, which deals with the aftermath of the death of Ultimate Spider-Man. Marvel has indicated that Ultimate Spider-Man (Vol. 3) #1 (featuring the new Ultimate Spider-Man) will be launched towards the end of 2011, after the conclusion of Ultimate Fallout.
I have a slightly obscure request. Us fine folk at THQ Australia work on the video games licences for things like Marvel Superhero Squad and Marvel vs Capcom 3.
Next week we're presenting on "What Marvel means to us" - and one of our presenters, Jon Bailey, actually had a letter published in Spiderman & Zoids #13 and we wanted to use that to open the presentation. Sadly, as both of us are UK ex-pats we don't have our comic collections here, and there's no real way of getting the letters page scanned by our... not-very-understanding family units.
If you or any of the Spiderfan team have a copy of this issue and could scan the letters page and send it across to me that would be remarkably awesome.
In fact, the letter from Jon Bailey was printed in issue Spiderman & Zoids #28, from September 1986. Here is the page.
Very long shot...............
I have a brother in law called Peter Parker and way back may early 1960's I seem to remember reading a spider man comic and in it was a statement ' Peter Parker the world'd greatest sunflower - he can't tell the cha cha from the waltz '
Does this mean anything to you? It is mr brother in law's 65th birthday this year and would lovr to get my hands on a copy of the issue with that line in it.
I can not remember any more and if this is way too vague I am sorry to have bothered you but any help ypu could offer would be much appreciated.
This is not a long shot at all. This line is burned into the memory of any true SpiderFan, although you have mis-remembered it slightly. The actual version is "Peter Parker? He's Midtown High's only professional wallflower!"
This is the opening panel from Amazing Fantasy #15, the very first every appearance of Spider-Man, and much sought after by collectors everywhere. I'm not sure exactly how fond you are of your brother-in-law. However, if you visit eBay, you should be able to find a complete, intact copy for anywhere between about $4,000 and $100,000. Something in that range should suit your budget, I hope.
Dear Sir.
I have searched for several hours now and I simply cannot find the title of what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a one-shot special (I believe) where spiderman worked together with Xavier and wolverine against Stryker and his son Jason. It's an old one - from the early 80ies or late 70'ies (spidey is thinking of being together with Diana Ross lying on the top of a bus, resting).
Well, mortal. You have done your best to trick the Spider-Oracle, but I see through your deceptions. Despite your efforts to confuse me, I can easily identify the story you seek.
You are correct in the date of the story, it is from June 1982. You are also correct in your memory of Spider-Man, Wolverine and Xavier.
You are mistaken, however, in every other detail. This was not a one-shot special, it was a two-issue arc in an ongoing series. The villain was Professor Power, and his son is Matthew. Spider-Man was on top of a car, not a bus. Most importantly, the girl of Spider-Man's dreams was the actress Diane Keaton rather than the singer Diana Ross.
The story is Marvel Team-Up (Vol. 1) #117-118.
Nice web-site! Looks like you put in a lot of time and dedication! I was wondering if you knew if there was a trade paperback or hard cover that reprints the story of Tombstone from Spectacular Spider-Man? I loved these stories as a kid and would like to read them again! Thanks in advance. Have a good night.
Links to any reprints are given on the title pages. At this time, my adepts have not identified any reprints of Spectacular Spider-Man (Vol. 1) #151 or following issues in the "Tombstone" story arc. The only reprinted issue of Spectacular from that immediate vicinity is a reprint of #158, the "Spidey Goes Cosmic" issue.
However, these issues are very cheap to purchase in the original comic book format. On eBay you can easily purchase copies for $1 each, plus postage.
Hi i was going through my cards today and in the Marvel Cards 1994 and say that it was in the 1994 Bagley set. I found one card that where it says in the top right hand corner marvel cards and it says "Marvel Cards 1934" and i found another one that says "Marvel Cards 1994". The card is #78 Cloak and Dagger Allies. I was wondering if that is supposed to be like that or not?
I can, with confidence, assure you that no "Cloak & Dagger" Marvel Cards were produced in 1934.
If the "9" appears like a "3" on that card, then you have received a slightly defective printing.
Before you ask, no, that doesn't make it more valuable.
Your F.A.Q. : Has Spider-Man Died? is an interesting list.
Can I add the Marvel Zombies books? In it Peter is bitten by the virus and turns into an undead version of himself (so perhaps he didn't die) but, in later installments, is pretty much killed off several times.
Indeed, this seems reasonable. The alternate universe Zombie version of Spider-Man (first seen in Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness #1 is finally killed in Marvel Zombies Return #5 by a Living Nanite Swarm version of Sandman from a different alternate universe.
The list shall be extended.
