I have a 3 year old who loves Spider-Man and wants to watch the cartoons. I need to know what series, if any, would be the best to purchase for him. I do not want him waching some of the ones that are simply too violent for his age. I am leaning towards the 1960's, but remember the 80's or 90's series(can't remember which)being less violent.
any insight and recommendation would be greatly appreciated.
Simple answer, we would recommend either of the cartoons from the 1980's. Either the Solo series, or the Spider-Man and the Amazing Friends. They were all relatively harmless.
The 90s show had a very strict policy on violence. Spidey was never allowed to punch a villain, and nobody was allowed to shoot bullets. However it did have laser gun play and explosions, and contains quite a few moments which could scare younger viewers.
The more recent shows tend to be a little more violent still. Both Spectacular Spider-Man and the MTV CGI show were both aimed at the teen market segment, occasionally with people dying on screen.

I was wondering if you could help me track down an issue number. Specifically, I remember an issue with an actual photograph for the cover. If I remember correctly, it was of Nicolas Hammond from the '77 TV show.
Almost certainly you are thinking of Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 1) #262. The other well-known photograph covers of that era were Marvel Team-Up (Vol. 1) #128 and Spider-Woman (Vol. 1) #50.

I'll leave it to you to compare the photos and determine if you think this really is Mr. Hammond (as shown here).
The ASM #262 cover was re-used shortly after in the UK in a reprint magazine. A UK reprint magazine (Super Spider-Man TV Comic #450) did use a Nicholas Hammond cover (in full costume with mask on).
P.S. The guy on the cover of ASM #262 is a movie stunt-man named Scott Leva. According to his imdb page he was considered for the role of Peter Parker/Spiderman when the Spiderman film project was first proposed in the mid-1980s."
Also, Scott was the actor dressed in a Spider-Man suit that confronted the actors on set of X-Men as a joke. Realizing that he's in the wrong movie, Spidey backs off saying, "I'm so Sorry! I'm in the wrong movie." (this can be seen as an "Easter Egg" on the DVD edition of the movie).

Does Marvel Tales Flip Magazine only run 1 through 25? are there any more flip magazine of Spiderman after 25 if it runs past 25?
Number 25 is the last issue in that title.

RE: Marvel Age: Spider-Man #2 (Niagara Reprint).
I just noticed on the site that you don't have pics for this comic. This comic was never released to the general public, I bought them off someone who used to work there. He told me that all the comics were destroyed because of a water main break in the area that they were kept, plus when Marvel Adventure City went bankrupt and lost their Marvel Licensing agreement they destroyed the 1 remaining box. He just happened to get his hands on a few of them before that happened.

I'd like to ask what happened with that Patrick Nagel print that hung on Peter's wall.
Ah, yes. An unfortunate sequence of events. It was actually an original limited print run given to him by The Black Cat. Peter had to sell it in order to purchase a black market kidney for Aunt May.
But more seriously, the level of continuity in the background art of comics is not particularly high. Artworks come and go.

Oh great and powerful Oracle, perhaps you can clear up an issue for me. I noticed on the David Finch variant cover on New Avengers #1, there's a character dressed in black with a dome-shaped helmet standing with the rest of the Avengers. I don't remember who this character is. Could you shed some light on this mysterious Avenger?

In fact, this character is "Mr. Abandoned". His secret identity name is "Danglin Plotthread".
I can offer you two explanations. The first is that it is a containment suit for The Sentry to control the Void within him. The second, it may have been a new outfit for Ronin which was never followed-up.
