Introduction:

I've been a fan of Spider-Man since I was four. My first Spider-Man comic was a reprint of the first half of Amazing Spider-Man #103.

I'd get the occasional issue, but it wasn't until 1989 that I started getting serious about it. Now I'm so serious that it takes up a half of a room in my house.

Collects:

Marvel: Captain America, Daredevil, Dark Avengers, Deadpool, Deadpool Team-Up, Deadpool: Merc With A Mouth (see a trend?), Iron Man, Thor, Uncanny X-Men.

DC: Action Comics, Batman, Brave and the Bold, Detective Comics, Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern.

There are other titles I collect as well. These titles are usually found in the bargain bins of local comic stores. They are primarily mini-series (provided all issues are there) and Bronze Age issues for the previously mentioned DC titles.

Why Spider-Man:

There's a reason he's referred to as the "everyman" super-hero; every man can relate to having a bad boss, women trouble, money problems, generally screwing up at life and trying to move on. I fall into one or more of these categories. There's an instant familiarity with this character that is hard to find in others.

Favourites:

Honorable mention for "done in one" stories go to Spider-Man Tangled Web #4, Deadpool #11, and Spectacular Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #21. I'm know I'm leaving others out, so check back at some point.
