Electric Company Magazine (Page 1 of 5)

 Title Base: No Spider-Man
 Staff: The Editor (E-Mail)

This is a magazine format title for kids, designed to tie in with the Electric Company, and the Spidey Super Stories comic. Spidey made his first cameo in issue #16 (July 1975), and starting with issue #22 (Feb 1976), the magazine featured a 4 or 5 page Spidey story in a similar style to the Super Stories plots.

Spidey was a regular feature in the following hundred-odd issues until late 1984 where the original stories began to fizzle out, replaced by reprints of earlier stories, or by no Spidey at all.

The final issue was July 1988. From September 1988 the magazine "Electric Company Magazine" was replaced by "Kid City".

Like many magazines, especially those aimed at kids, these issues are hard to find in good grades, or even in any grade. The prices are typically on the high side to reflect this.

Note that some issues were printed with dated and undated versions, presumably for home delivery vs. newsstand sales. At SpiderFan, we consider these versions to be equivalent and interchangeable, the same as we do not differentiate between newsstand and direct distribution (or between U.S.-priced and UK-priced) covers for regular comics.
