We return to the present just as the Void erupts on to the scene sending super heroes flying through the air in all directions. Protected by the combined shielding powers of Doc Strange, the Invisible Woman, and Ironman, Reed Richards and Emma Frost set to reminding Reynolds of his life as the Sentry. As the White Queen delves into Reynolds psyche she soon discovers that Reynolds is/created the Void! The question is why? As Reynolds life's memories roll out before him he arrives to one moment in particular that has been blacked out. When the memory is finally salvaged it shows Mastermind altering the Sentry's memory who is then able to erase himself out of the memories of the people around him. At this news Reynolds loses it completely and flees.

Outside, the Void has put a hurting on the heroes leaving them all in bloody tatters.

General Comments

Wow! I haven't seen a group of heroes get beat this badly since Galactus or the Beyonder. One thing's for sure though if the Avengers can't get the Sentry under control there's a very serious possibility of the Voids boasts, to end the world, might just come true. I really love the concept behind the Sentry, too. There have always been heroes that have been beaten down and near breaking but it's not very often that we see one that's been broken completely. Who knows how this thing is gonna finish up but it's gonna be crazy!

Overall Rating

The story is really evolving. The first two issues in this story line were good but nothing fantastic, but despite the mystery of the Sentry being revealed I still find myself on the edge of my seat wanting to see what's going to happen next.
