News : Spidey's On-Line Amazing Adventure (30-Mar)

America Reads is a group of parents, teachers, college students, caregivers, volunteers, business people, and children who are united with one goal. The America Reads Challenge calls on all Americans to help ensure that every American child can read well and independently by the end of 3rd grade.

According to their Web Site, each of us can play an important role in the America Reads Challenge. The way this affects those of us here at SpiderFan, is that they have posed a very cool (hey I think it is cool) Acrobat PDF file staring Spider-Man himself.

You can download the PDF file for free. The comic (which can also be viewed online) contains some acknowlogment letters, a Rebus, a couple of interactive comic strips, a draw-your-own-superhero page, a few word games, some fill in the word balloon games and other cool stuff.

The 16-page comic (which also has a cut-out Spidey Door hanger on the back cover) is designed for young readers, and should provide them with hours (hopefully) of fun. We recommend downloading it and passing it along to your kids, nieces, nephews, and other young readers.
