From Eric i read that there are 2 comics available for spider man at this current time ultimate spider man and amazing spider-man i currently won an auction on ebay for issues 33# to 39# of ultimate spiderman because i just love venom "rumor has it he will be in spiderman 3 if movie 2 does well" any way back to the question which comic do you consider to be better amazing or ultimate plot wise and guest characters coming on frequently.Heya Eric. We just updated the Current Titles Summary, it talks about who is writing what title at the moment. But really, I myself can't recommend one over the other. The three active titles, ASM, PPSM, and Ultimate are all superb right now. Each is very different, but all are, in my sometimes humble opinion, excellent. It boils down to a matter of taste, and budget. You'll have to read a couple and choose for yourself!

From Jason i love your site, but is there no clause about editing the comic reviews for grammatical errors? most of them are reasonably acceptable, but some are barely recognizable as english. for instance, "Then Leno starts off with a thread of non-stop hero jokes. Neither of them is nothing special though." what the hell does that mean? neither of what? neither spider-man nor leno? or is he possibly referring to leno's jokes, in which case TWO jokes can hardly be considered "a thread of non-stop jokes." i'm am indeed confident that my concern has been clearly stated.You're quite right Jason. It's shocking that we should subject you to such drivel. I've blocked your IP address from the server, to make sure that you are never again exposed to such terrible grammar from our site! I HAVE BOUGHT A LOT OF YOUR BOOKS AND NEVER HAD THIS EXPERIENCE BEFORE. I WOULD TAKE THESE THREE BOOKS BACT TO WHERE PURCHASED BUT THE STORE IS TO FAR AWAY. I REQUEST THAT YOUR COMPANY REPLACE THESE THREE BOOKS.But we no longer posess these books of mass destruction you refer to! We have destroyed all our chemical Spider-Man stories. You must believe us! Secondly, you sure picked a good character to get completist on, because those four appearances are, AFAIK, all she's ever done. From Lee Chan I would like to ask a question based on Stan Lee's didactic principles in his comics. For example, I noticed that the Spider-man comics convey the roles of teenage life. X-Men is a representation of racism and civil rights, in a allegorical sense. Also, most of Stan Lee's comics share scientific subjects, such as mutation in DNA. I was wondering if all of Lee's comics share any aspect of history during the 60's period. The reason for my inquery is that I might write my senior term paper based on the facts that you will share with me.I could help you more if I knew what didactic meant! Let me grab a dictionary, and I'll be right back... OK, now I'm with ya. Didactic = related to teaching. Nope, I think Stan's (limited) didacticism was near-completely accidental. His original intent was to create a fairly clear-cut scenario for conflict, in which to generate approriate tension for his adventure and human interest stories. The fact that he managed to hit on a few key issues: responsibility, persecution, etc., is a side-effect. Much of the deeper analysis of those issues done in comics (well, such as it is), is a latter addition. Stan was a good story-writer for his time, but not much of a teacher... according to my humble opinion.
