Comics : Franklin Richards One Shots

Note: Comics shown are for database purposes only. None of these comics are for sale. Valuations shown are indicative Near Mint Values. Dates shown are cover dates.

These one-shots re-imagines a young Franklin Richards from The Fantastic Four as Calvin (from Bill Watterson's classically inventive strip) with H.E.R.B.I.E. (the hovering robot which was created for the 1978 animated FF cartoon by DePatie-Freleng that replaced The Human Torch because some suits at NBC were apparently afraid of children imitating the behavior of the Torch and setting themselves on fire) playing the role of the Hobbes, the tiger.

In this comic, Franklin is a mischievous child always getting into trouble, and it is H.E.R.B.I.E.'s job (as Franklin's babysitter) to keep the havoc to a minimum.
