Last issue, Miles had just met with Aunt May and Gwen in an abandoned warehouse, when Cap steps out from the shadows. Cap wants Miles to stop being Spider-man, in fact he orders him to stop and promises to put him in jail if he continues. Aunt May, Gwen and MJ are all supportive of Miles. Gwen in particular gets right in Caps face. Cap is called away to an emergency. Miles is unsure what to do, Aunt May encourages Miles to prove himself and help Cap. She gives Miles Peter's web shooters.

Miles leaves to catch Cap, but it takes him a couple of tries to get used to web swinging. By the time he catches up the Cap, there are massive explosions coming from the Lincoln Tunnel. The cause of the trouble is the Rhino. Spidey and Cap fight the Rhino. Things don't look too good for Spidey and Cap, until Spidey talks to some of the military guys who were transporting the Rhino. He finds out Rhino's weakness and then defeats him, saving Cap in the process.

In the aftermath, Cap admits that Miles has got the goods, but needs training.

In General...

First of all, I have to say that the rendition of Cap on the cover of this comic is really weird. I am not sure if it's just the angle, but it just looks off.

Anyway, the issue itself is great. The beginning scene maybe dragged on a bit too long. And I feel that May, Gwen and MJ where a bit too supportive and there didn't seem to be much in the way them justifying there point of view. Really, Cap backed up his case pretty well. I can't imagine anyone who would think it was a good idea to let a 13 year old fight in life and death situations. There wouldn't be much of a comic though if Cap's argument won out.

The fight scene was great. Seeing Miles work out the Rhino's weakness was great. Also, Miles getting the web shooters and trying out some quips was cool. I am looking forward to seeing Cap and the Ultimates actually do some real training of Miles.

Overall Rating...

Solid issue.
