Stan "The Man" Lee is enjoying a nice, silent day at home when all of a sudden he's beamed on board the ship of the planet-devouring Galactus. Galactus has a problem with the Silver Surfer and wants Stan to check it out. As quickly as he arrived, Stan is whisked away again. This time he gets transported directly to the Silver Surfer, on his board to be exact, in outer space. When Stan tires to talk to the Surfer, he responds each time in the form of philosophy. Along the way the come across a group of alien invaders, which the Surfer quickly makes short work of. Stan is beamed up on Galactus' ship once more. Galactus asks Stan if he understands his problem with the Surfer and why he's so unbearable. Stan says he's not someone he'd want to be trapped on a desert island with. Galactus says that the worst part about the Surfer is that he influences people and Stan just proves his point by talking in a manner not all that far off from the Surfer. Galactus says that the Surfer is infecting everyone and that they are all doomed.
In General...
A funny story written by Stan Lee. I laughed out loud more than once when I read this short. One of the best lines comes from Galactus right when Stan gets beamed on board Galactus' ship. Stan says "I must be dreaming!" Galactus remarks "Spare me your comic book dialogue!" The late Mike Wieringo's artwork looks great and works well for the type of story Stan gave us.
