Aug 1990 : SM Title : Web of Spider-Man
Characters: Green Goblin II (Harry Osborn), Hammerhead, Mary Jane Watson-Parker, Molten Man, Joseph, Tombstone

Tombstone is on a street somewhere and some guys try to attack him. He takes them all out with little difficulty and appears to have some new powers...

Spidey is following Green Goblin and stops him on a roof where Harry takes off his mask. He says he wants to be a hero now. Spider-Man asks if it's a bit restless becoming the Goblin when he has family commitments and Goblin replies: 'That's strange coming from you'. Ooooh! Has Harry remembered?

Pete sneaks into Harry's apartment and finds the address of a place he's renovating. He heads over there as Spidey and it's a training warehouse for him to practice being the Goblin. Harry says he wants to clear the name of his (mass-murdering) father by doing good deeds as the Goblin. Spidey and Goblin fight, with Spider-Man winning easily. He sits Harry down and tells him he has to think of his children.

Spidey swings off as Harry looks on and says 'thanks Peter'

In the final panels, Tombstone shows up at Hammerhead's place looking pretty indestructible.

In General...

I love the fact that Harry knows who Spider-Man is again. It brings back that bit of edge to the title and leaves you wanting to know more. One part of this three-parter to go.

Overall Rating...

Very good.
