The first issue of Sensational following Revelations, and the return of Peter Parker as the one true Spider-Man. What wonders can the creative team perform to show us that things have truly changed? Well, Trapster (formerly Paste-Pot Pete) is back. Heck, that's sure a change.

OK, basically The Trapster is back in town and wants to make his mark as a man to contend with. So... he trashes some low-life scum and waits for the papers to triumphantly announce his return. Problem is, that the trapster's paste-gun produces something which looks vaguely like webbing, and that's enough for Jonah Jameson to have the Daily Bugle pin the rap on Spider-Man.

OK, so Pete (The Trapster) is mightly peeved, and sets a trap for Spider-Man. Peter (The Spider-Man Guy) walks into it, but manages to squeak out of it at the last minute. Trapster goes free, Jonah prints another story trashing Spidey, and the world carries on.

In General...

Well, compared to the happenings in the other titles, Sensational isn't looking too hot at the moment. Sure, DeZago is competent enough, but this isn't high-brow stuff. In fact, it doesn't even hold the attention very well. The art is strangely washed out and two-dimensional - from the pencils right through to the rather primitive colouring.

Overall Rating...

Rather disappointing. Still, that's the good thing about having four titles with four separate story-lines - even if one is prety mediocre, it doesn't have to drag the rest of them down.
