Background...

Don't ever let anybody tell you that collecting Spider-Man Coloring & Activity Books is easy. The hardest bit is trying to figure out what you're supposed to be collecting, and what doesn't get included.

Oh, it's simple enough when you're dealing with a nice simple colouring book. But what about a portfolio of coloring pages in a folder? It's almost a book. It has pages, right?

And what if those loose-leaf pages are made of cardboard not paper? And what if there's only two of them? What if there's only one page?

What if that page contains two separate images, inter-threaded, designed to be folded in a concertina fashion and inserted into a specially designed frame so that you can view it from one angle and see one picture, while viewed from a different angle you see an entirely different image?

Yep, it took me a while to figure out exactly how this thing is supposed to work. But look at the black and white image at the back of the packet, and it should all become clear. The dividing lines go vertically. When you move your head and view at a 45° angle from the left, you see the left-hand image, and move your head and view from the right and you'll see the right-hand image. Simple stuff!

In General...

The whole pack is 7.5" x 5" and it contains just the one image, plus a pre-cut cardboard frame with slots in it. There's also three small felt-tip pens – Red, Blue, Yellow.

The pre-marked price is $1.

Overall Rating...

I'm conflicted.

Cons: This is a floppy piece of low-grade paper and cardboard.

Pros: It's quite unusual, it comes with three felt-tip markers, and it costs $1.

Overall, it's probably slightly more interesting than it is low-quality. Three Point Five Webs.
