No Month 2007 : SM Title : Spider-Man Color/Activity Books (Bendon)

This book is a riot of colorful addition exercises. On the first page, Spidey webs over a street of yellow taxis in the illustration. On the page itself, you need to count the yellow cabs and write in the number. Then count the next lot of colored cabs and write that number in. Then... and this is the tricky part... add up the total and write that in after the "=" sign. 3 + 5 = 8!

Repeat with pumpkin bombs, webs, then add numbers to get color codes and color a picture. More numbers, another code breaker, then we're into big numbers! 12 + 2... count up and down the spider-number-line to add 2 to 12.

Finally, it's time for tens and ones! The sums this time are presented one over the other, with the tens and ones lined up. Though, the instructions tell you to count by marking numbers and counting, rather than dealing with the decile system properly.

There's text sums "Spidey saw four cars, then he saw six more. How many did he see altogether?" Sums in webs, sums in a maze, and finally... SUBTRACTION! Oooh...!

All the way through, Spidey is there in illustration, with the whole book in red and blue theme. Ock and a few other villains make a brief appearance too.

In General...

Again, there's no "instructions for parents", and no gold stars to stick on each page when it's done. But the answers are in the back, just in case your mom can't work out the sums unaided.

Overall Rating...

Missing a few features, but much prettier than the Writing version, I have to give this one four webs.
