Over Spidey's long history, merchandising tie-ins have been a continual presence, adding fantastic one-off items for collectors like myself to acquire, bringing moments of unbridled joy to our otherwise humdrum lives.Here's a classic example. The 1978 "Marvel Comics Postcard Book", courtesy of the kind folks at "Nostalgia, Inc." Publishing.

Nine pages of tear-out postcards, four per page. That makes a grand total of 36 postcards. Each one features a glossy 70's technology four-color printing picture of a Marvel hero or villain, with artwork extracted from various comics books of the time, but with the backgrounds removed and replaced by a single-color.
The flip side gives the character name, first appearance, and a one-sentence description. It also gives three lines for address, a "put stamp here" spot, a paragraph of copyright info, and enough space for a "Weather is here, wish you were beautiful" message suitable for sending via any modern postal system!

Hey, it' a tear-out postcard book... what else did you expect?
Overall Rating... 
Hard to fault the plot. The art is all classic stuff. Color reproduction
is boring but adequate. Paper is nice and glossy. But in the final
analysis, it's a great little collectable, so three-and-a-half webs it is
