Pete is on a nationwide book tour promoting his book of Spidey pictures: 'Webs'. This is a very good way to get Spidey into other settings without the obvious connection being made to Pete as Spider-Man himself has been given an open invitation by the publishers to go to the signing sessions.

The Hulk is annoyed because the mercenary girl (Charlie) hurt Marlo. He is happy to let them all fight it out but, when Spidey tries to stop the fighting, he and the Hulk get into it. As they're having a drawn-out fight, the mercenary people are doing the same, resulting in Charlie ending up dead.
Well; not really. They're all cyborgs who are fighting over some amulet thing.
The end of the book is Hulk back in his hotel room faced with Dr Doom.
Yuk. I hate cross-overs.
I mean, don't get me wrong. If it's done well a little bit of cross-promotion can go a long way. It just doesn't really work when much of the surprises rely on past knowledge and the entire plot makes so little sense that by the end of the tale, you're still not really sure what's happened.
I would have liked to have written more about the plot in the Hulk book but, to be honest, I've got little comprehension of what was actually going on. There's lots of hints about the Hulk being 'dead' and (obviously) 'green' and I have no idea why he's 'alive' and 'grey'.
It seems ironic that every time one Spidey story follows from one book straight into another, we're treated to a two-page recap in the second issue. Yet when another Marvel character is used with lots of mystery hinted at, we don't even get a 'see issue x', let alone a recap.
So, anyway, I'm entirely baffled by the plot. Some cyborgs are fighting over some amulet for some reason and the Hulk's there. Except he's called Mr Fixit. And there's someone called Marlo.
And that's about it. Roll on the next issue but let's just hope it makes more sense than this.
